Ben-DutkaThe Tekken 6 viral marketing campaign continues, as "Tekken Talk" has just launched and the new video features the hottest of hot fighter babes.
First off, feel free to watch that video and while you're there, you can also read up on the UK Iron Fist Tournament, view the last viral video, and sign up for the aforementioned "Tekken Talk." Essentially, it's an "adaptation of the King of the Iron Fist Tournament" that actually takes place on Twitter. You will be able to choose from one of ten characters, participate in heats against opponents, and the last 32 players left standing will go the finals. If you're wondering, this is indeed the very first real-time fighting game for Twitter. Here's more info:
"The moves in Tekken Talk are based on the console version of Tekken. The game is all about timing and knowing how long each move takes just like the real game. Players will be able to embed widgets on to their social network profiles to keep track of their progress across the competition. The winner will win: Signed copy of Tekken 6 by Harada-San, Life Size Tekken Figures, and a whole load of other goodies."
Ah, you see? A prize! We always need some incentive, you know? And if you're wondering who the fighters are in that sweet video, you're looking at Nina Williams and Anna Williams in the first scene, Christie Monteiro in the second, and Ling Xiaoyou in the third. don't you just love these advertisement campaigns? you know? the ones that seem completely unrelated to the product they promote? the girls are 'hot', but how does this relate to tekken in anyway? the 'what will you fight for' slogan isn't enough to make a clear distinction
