Guitar Hero 5 Queens of the Stone Age Track Pack:
Activision has announced that, available now, the Queens of the Stone Age track pack is live on the Guitar Hero store for you to download. It includes all-new and remastered versions of music from the self-titled first record, including: "Mexicola", "Avon", and "How to Handle a Rope". It would've been nice to get some songs out of "Rated-R", and especially "Songs for the Deaf", but you can't have it all. The track pack will sell for $5.49 on the PlayStation Store.
SNK Classics Downloadable for PSP Now:
SNK Playmore has announced that a collection of their titles has gone live on the PSP's PlayStation Network to be downloaded and used with the PSP Go!. The games include: Metal Slug Anthology, SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1, The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga, and Samaurai Shodown Anthology. As you can see, all of these games are compilations, and with a price tag of $19.99 each, they're actually worth the price of admission.
The Beatles: Rock Band Sponsors 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards :
While it's unluckily to turn out anything as controversial as our very own American award show, thanks largely to Kanye West, you may still find some pleasure in knowing that The Beatles: Rock Band will be one of the main sponsors of MTV's European award show in November. And it makes perfect sense, too, since what better platform is there for MTV Games to represent their very own creation and not have to shell out an arm and a leg for it? Oh, and if you want another reason to tune in…the very hot Katy Perry will be hosting.
