US gamers will have to wait to get their hands on the slender, cocky, bespectacled witch, but if you have a Japanese PSN account, you can test her out this month.
According to PS3Center , Sega has announced that a playable demo for Bayonetta will be hitting the Japanese Store on October 8 (that's next week, folks). Now, this is one large demo; it'll be about 1.1GB in size and feature both a tutorial and The Angel's Metropolis stage. We're just itching to try it out, also because we've heard bad things about the PS3 version of the game, despite Sega's continued insistence that both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions would be identical. Those who saw a recent demo of the game running on the PS3 noted terrible frame rate hitches and overall, the experience didn't appear very smooth. This would be disastrous for such a super-fast action title; it'd be like dropping frame rates in Ninja Gaiden …it's just downright unacceptable these days. But here's hoping Platinum Games is able to make both versions stellar, because we wanna slash stuff, and we need something to play between Christmas and March ( God of War III ).
Bayonetta is slated to arrive in Japan on October 29 and the rumored release date for the US is January 5.

Fantastic news on the demo coming out next week but not so much on the news of the version disparity. Hopefully it is just more "my version is better than your version" e-peen comparisons though. But if not it is slightly unnerving that at this stage in this generation studios are still not up to snuff on both systems.
Wait and see is the game now I suppose.
Wow I didnt think we would get a demo so soon. Now I can finally see everything for myself.
If they reported -terrible issues- on the PS3 version that it completely seals the deal for me, I won't even waste money to rent it. I'm looking at Multiplat games with a fine tooth comb these days because the PS3 exclusives I buy are on held in the highest regards and I expect only excellence which the Developers achieve. If Platinum games cannot Develop a game also for the PS3 then they can take they're DMC Rip-off rubbish somewhere else. Try to give me a port and I'll give you the finger.
Ben you kept talking up Brutal legends and now that they put the demo of that game on the store i want it! that game is so damn cool. i thought it would be a cool game but i love what they did with it. Jack Black is hilarious in this game.
if a demo for this game makes me want to play it as much i will have to check it out.
Tim Schafer is the MAN. That's all we ever need know. 😉
I pre-ordered that goodness earlier today. Looking forward to that french kiss. Ha!
right!
it is dead, now i will teach you of the french kiss
good shit. im gonna go to best buy and get the different game sleave that looks like in the game. saw it the other day but didnt have the money for it, now i do so getting that.
Arccording to QJ, the 360 version will have 3 stages while the PS3 will recieve only 2.
Also the the 360 version will be around 770mb and the PS3 version will be above 1gig.
Very identical.

Well, I'll give it a try as I do have a Japan PSN account but I doubt I'll buy it. There's just too many AAA games coming out around its release.
How d you make a jap account brighat1971? I would kill to hit the jap psn for some exclusive foriegn junk ^_^ and Bayonetta is a big demo for me ^_^
Google it, your sure to find. I also have a Japanese account but I don't exactly remember where I learnt it except I know I googled it at least.
Yeah, there are plenty of sites that instruct you on how to create one. Just follow the instructions, it's not too hard even in you can't read Kanji.
Sadly, you can't buy anything from the site unless you have a Japanese PSN card. However, you can download demos and video.
I'm waiting to hear if there are any problems with the PS3 version before I even bother thinking about this game. With all the great games these days, and the PS3 selling like hotcakes, and with the world still in a recession – the days of tolerating second-rate ports are long gone. At least for me.

Action/Adventure games to play between Christmas and GOWIII release:
1. Darksiders
2. Dante's Inferno
3. Bayonetta
That is my big three before GOWIII.
