October is a huge month for game releases, and just before the month disappears, we get one of the biggest: Tekken 6 .
And not surprisingly, the publisher is approaching this launch with a "no-holds barred" approach when it comes to promotion and marketing. Below is the first of a couple viral vids that are going to turn some heads – the second apparently features chicks in bikinis – and if you want to learn more, make sure to check out the official site for Tekken 6 , What Will You Fight For? . There, you can pre-order the title from UK retailer Game, join the Iron Fist UK tournament tour, and soon, they'll be talking about this sixth installment on Twitter. We've already had one fantastic fighter this year in Street Fighter IV but we always knew that Tekken 6 would give Capcom's stellar effort a run for its money in the "Best Fighter of the Year" category. Check out the video below and we'll bring you the second when it becomes available.
Tekken is one of those franchises that may just endure forever…and really, does anyone have a problem with that?
Related Game(s): Tekken 6
Looks pretty. Haven't enjoyed a Tekken game since Tekken Tag. Have always been a SF guy myself. I might check this one out. Animations look nice.
Tekken was definitely my favorite.I've been looking for it ever since I got my Launch PS3 and I have yet to be successful.
Tag was your favorite?
Yeah I fu*cked up.Didn't realize it was a lot more difficult typing from the PS3.
I'm really sad that this went multi platform. However this will be one of the only multi plats I buy this fall.
yea that when i lost my hype for the game, now its just whatever in the world of fighters.
sad thing is this is the only fighting game series i liked
Except that the original Arcade version of Tekken 6 was heavily optimized for the PS3 hardware it ran on in the arcades. So the PS3 version is *THE* version of the game, and the 360 version is simply a port.
Same :(. I have always been a big fan of the tekken franchise. I've owned all the tekkens from the start but Tag is definately ghe best.
I hope they bring out some DLC for tekken 6 later on 'cause I miss some of the characters like Gon and Unknown.
I am an enormous tekken fan! Been playing as King and Armor king since the games release. I was a kid, one day I come home and find my mom had rented a ps1 from the local blockbuster and with it TEKKEN! She got me hooked on it and I haven't stopped playing it ever since and man I can't wait for this installment. Having all the character animations redone is a big deal (among all the other amazing upgrades) and I'll be damned if I miss this jump into next gen for my latin fave characters lol ^_^ [on another note=isn't it weird that every major 3D fighter has had a new latin guy then gen?
Virtua fighter=el blaze
Street fighter=el fuerte
Tekken 6=miguel
Lol I could be overthinking that though ^_^
sucks to know that PS3 and Xbox users really are getting a downgraded conversion of the game is which is good in my opinion.
Huh?
Bloodline rebellion is an upgrade the arcade version plus the PS3 has got the advantage with Dualshock 3
It sucks but its good in your opinion?
Your forgetting about the real fighter of the year contender Blazblue
You kid they can't even release a european version in 2009. Yet to be honest I need a new Guilty Gear & DB; Raging Blast more than this

Oh p-lease! BlazBlue?! At least say SFIV. Still, Tekken 6 will take it this year.
blaze blue is out here in AU, so i would assume its out in europe.
saw it today when i went to pick up wet and fifa 2010.
I agree with advent child, blazblue is true fighter contender of the year. Beats the hell out of SFIV. lol you can't even run in SFIV
Hey let me have a say in this. I know it came out last year but i losve the 3Dness of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, just check out my avatar <<<<<<

The only fighter that I'm kinda looking forward to is Super Street fighter IV,and that's not coming any time soon.
Right on! I'm still playing Soul Calibur IV. Namco Rocks!
Now that's a fighting game with class.
Yes
I love fighting games but it seems that as soon as I get the controls for one down a new one comes out. First I had to memorize all the controls for VF5, than SC4, than MKvsDC, than SF4, now I got to start remembering the controls for T6
Tekken forever!
What James said.
Sadly I think I'm going to leave fighting games for the bargain bin this gen, they get old so fast I can't justify em.
im with you man, right now when money is tight, i cant justify buying a fighting game anymore. I bought street fighter IV and it just collecting dust now, mostly because i hate seth. I think fighting games era has come and gone with the introduction of online play. I rather play fighting games locally versus online cause its more fun that way. Right now all i'm getting this year is Uncharted 2 and Modern warfare 2. It could change if i get a job really soon.

It depends on what fighter you play really, I have always enjoyed Tekken. I prefer tekken because of how it takes skill to learn everyone's style and to execute they're awesome moves. Also every fighter has a unique style which I really dig, and the diversity is immense. I can't get enough of fighting the friends that come over.
what does chicks in bikinis have to do with a fighting game?
im loving the complete random adds for video games lately, like the one for ODST.
saw it today and was like WTF does this have to do with halo.
what happened to the good old days where adds use to be of gameplay videos.
come on the gameplay cant be that bad…………
Crinsom, with the movement mechanics in SF4, i don't think there's a need to run. Havent seen calamity trigger in RSA yet. Tekken is a first day purchase for me.
