Leaked notes from an August 5 SCEA/Sega meeting have already turned us onto the very real possibility of PS2 and even Dreamcast games showing up on the PS3 , but that's not the only news gleaned from the leaked documentation.
As noted by ConnectedConsoles , another portion of those notes included the expected release date for Bayonetta , which was unfortunately delayed until 2010. Well, it may not launch this year but if this information is accurate, you won't have to wait long: Sega intends to release a demo to the PlayStation Network around Christmas and the game should be available on store shelves on January 5. They're even planning to give the fans a special Collectors Edition with a sweet Bayonetta action figure, although we don't have the full details just yet. In fact, since the documentation has disappeared off the Internet and both SCEA and Sega have remained silent, just about everything involved in that meeting remains unofficial. But if this hot action title is indeed slated for the 5th of January, that's great news; it avoids the holiday rush and much of the impending Q1 blockbusters (previously delayed due to the Q4 2009 crunch). Besides, we're definitely in need of a fast-action slashfest, even though Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 definitely fits the bill; you'll be seeing a review some time soon.
We expect to hear the official information within the next month and it may actually arrive in a few days time at the Tokyo Game Show. That'd be an announcement worth listening to, in your opinion.
