Ah, Twitter. Who would've ever thought that a public IM with a character limit of 140 would ever be so popular? I guess people really are interested in the trivial and mundane aspects of strangers' lives.
But it can still be cool…if it's related to video games, of course. Those of you who pre-ordered Uncharted 2: Among Thieves at GameStop should be able to jump into the multiplayer demo that's going on right now, and there you will notice something interesting : the game can be attached to your Twitter account when online. The options page in the demo says the game will "Tweet your progresses as you play," which likely means your Twitter page will automatically post up a quick message concerning your Uncharted 2 achievements. So it might say, "Chapter 1 Complete" or "Level Milestone Achieved" or something like that, which is…well, both very cool and a touch creepy. We're wondering if the auto-Tweets are directly related to the Trophies you obtain; the descriptions seem like Trophy descriptions to us, and that might make sense. And this way, all your friends can get all jealous reading your Twitter page, 'cuz you have Uncharted 2 and they don't. At least, we assume that's the reason behind the technological phenomenon.
And speaking of Twitter, feel free to visit Naughty Dog's page . They just mentioned they're looking into producing a new dynamic PS3 theme based on Uncharted 2 . These dynamic themes are one of several upgrades that came along with firmware update 3.00, so let's see what these guys can give us.
Related Game(s): Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
haha I like the opening Ben… as for myself I'm not a big twitter user but this might be kinda cool to check out.
I have never understood people's obsession with twitter .
very well spoken sir!
Twitter is just a bunch of retarded "Twits".
so what happens after they twit? do they become twats? like i twated last night XD
Indeed.
I don't use twitter, but that's kinda cool. Might check it out.
I use twitter a lot, mainly to get news directly from the source, or debate ignorant republicans, lol.
This is a cool feature, but not really that necessary in my eyes. Maybe if you only have videogame interested people following you on twitter, but most of the people following you won't give a damn about your progress in a videogame.
i have never used twitter, barely use any of those sites. i noticed before that facebook seemed to be linked to my gamefly account somehow and that people would be able to see what games i had just sent in and out. felt like digital stalking to me.
p.s. i am currently doing a super long update to get into the mag beta. only 3% and its been like 10 min
Nice feature.

what's with twitter that's so intriguing about?i don't see any anything in it that would suffice my hunger for curiosity.
By the way, can't wait to play uncharted 2,it has to be that good or il have to burn another of my blu ray collection cds.
What do you think Hrey?would you like to collect my piece of sh**s trash?lol

I only use it to get news about music…films…Playstation this is quite a kool thing to have…why not throw in Facebook Support ND? 🙂
as far as I can tell, Twitter is only really used by celebrities and people who follow those celebrities. For example, Stephen Fry uses it a lot and did do when he was providing the voice over work for Little Big Planet, so people would log on to his Twitter page to see what he was up to. Now I cant really see many people wanting to log on just to see what another random gamer has acheived, but thats just my opinion

No! Please do not let this catch on.
Right, cause every one of my friends are interested in what i'm playing at the moment. But its a good start with this game/social integration thing.
What an annoying feature, The people who are interested in what you're playing will be on your PS3 friends list………. No offence, but its a bit sad.
Twitters just another one of those internet exploits im getting sick of hearing about.
i hate twitter. theres nothing special about it. but celebrities think its a good way to earn more of their own unwanted publicity. "the paparazzi is always hounding us" i would say "STOP TWEETING BITCH!" and then i woul die.
If they can't think of anything better to do with their time than come out with some stupid twitter crap, good grief. Just release the game already.
twitter is uncharted territory to me, thought it was for twats meself (stole the twats ref from LegendaryWolfeh-good post m8)
What can't this game do? ;]
can it cook?
These are the features it will automatically update your Twitter for.
When Connecting To Multiplayer <Off/On>
When A Cinema File Is Uploaded <Off/On>
When A Chapter Is Completed <Off/On>
When Earning Multiplayer Money <Off/On>
When Earning Trophies <Off/On>
When reaching a Level Milestone <Off/On>
You can turn them off and on, obviously.

Does it not tweet each headshot that Nathan pulls off?
I think this is fantastic. ND is doing what should have been built into the PS3/360/Wii at launch. Goes to show that ND not only breaks new ground when it comes to games, but technology in general.
Reckon all PS3 games be attached to Twitter. That way those gaming updates can drown Twitter and irritate tweeters with subjects they can't possibly relate to, causing Twitter's ultimate downfall.
Don't we wish.
@monzter
I love uncherted 1 and I will definitely get Uncharted 2,I still dont have a beta code for U2 multiplayer beta, anyone here tried it yet? btw just give me your K2 if you'll just burn your games.

This is both fantastic and useless.
Twitter – Ugh
"Ah, Twitter. Who would've ever thought that a public IM with a character limit of 140 would ever be so popular? I guess people really are interested in the trivial and mundane aspects of strangers' lives."
Indeed. Why the hell is anyone interested in the minutia of another person's life? Even my wife couldn't care less about whether I like my coffee at 11am, or if my ear itches as I'm working through my emails.
Micro blogging my arse. Twitter is little more than the stream of consciousness of the Eye of Moron. If you watched Battlestar Galactica (the new version) you'll remember the gibberish spouted by the hybrid Cylons that pilot the base ships. That is what twitter is, the random ramblings of a hive mind largely populated by morons.
Ah Twitter, how I hate thee.
can't care less for twitter.
