Pre-order incentives are big these days. And if you're a die-hard metalhead and you've been waiting for Tim Schafer's Brutal Legend all year long, you'll want to take advantage of GameStop's pre-purchase bonuses.
As outlined over at GameStop's site , the first bonus is an exclusive Tenacious D guitar/weapon, which features "an entirely new and different suite of effects" plus fresh voiceover work by Jack Black and Kyle Glass. We had heard about this in the past, but the second bonus makes it even more worthwhile: pre-ordering gets you free access to the incoming demo; you'll get a chance to play it on September 17, a full week before anyone else can see it. You can pre-order either online or in the store; you'll get both bonuses either way, and with that nice in-game guitar that nobody else will receive, it's not a bad deal. After all, you only have to drop $5 down for a pre-order and it's not like you have to pay more money…the extras are free, provided you're just a little proactive. The game is slated to arrive on October 13, and it's only one of several big titles slated for that month; the only bad news for Double Fine Productions is that Brutal Legend launches on the same day as Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves . …uh-oh.
But we really hope that Tim Schafer delivers yet another gem and that gamers will reward him this time around. It might suck to buy both titles on the same day, but if they rule…well, you gotta pay for the good stuff.

I will be getting uncharted 2 over this. But this game looks sweeeeeet too. Just Uncharted 2 is…well Uncharted 2.
This game is gonna get left by the wayside unfortunately. Uncharted 2 is gonna be too huge.

i went to EB today to preorder this AC2 MW2 R&CACIT and my ps3 slim and almost had a heart attack when the guy handed me my beta code for uncharted 2.
i HATE! game (above telling me i can bring a game back for full refund than refusing when i tried) they told me were not getting access to the uncharted 2 beta.
thank god i went with my gut and got it from EB, otherwise i wouldent be playing the beta.

missed out on the home resistance 2 killzone 2 MAG and first uncharted 2 beta but this almost makes up for it.
Well since I am getting the game, I might as well go pre-order it.
I don't really think that huge blockbusters are as excluding as they use to be. From what I've noticed, with games in big franchises the longer they go on, the more sales they get in the first week. Look at DragonQuest IX, it is the fastest selling game in Japan of all time, and yet, it is not the best selling game of all time in Japan. It's not even the highest selling DragonQuest game. The same seems to go for other franchises, too. But Uncharted is only the second game in the franchise, so, I dunno how this is going to work. And they're being released on the same day…..
Man, I just don't know about this game. I don't expect high scores and it just seems well…. Lame. I would like to think others would spend they're money on games that are worth it. Don't get me wrong, have fun if you plan to purchase but it just lacks everything.
I'm buying Brutal Legend & Uncharted 2 on release day!
I kinda think schafer just wants to keep his reputation for making awesome games that don't sell that well, no one in their right mind would launch that close to uncharted 2.
Either way I'm getting them both but U2 will more than likely come first.
