If you remember the good ol' days of Headbangers Ball on MTV (it's a tad different now on MTV2) and you've got the blood of a true metal aficionado running through your veins, you can't possibly pass up Tim Schafer and Double Fine's latest project, Brutal Legend .
It's going to feature voiceover work from many of the metal Gods you know and love but did you realize just how huge the in-game soundtrack will be? EA Denmark may have accidentally revealed the entire list; it has since been removed from their site, but Kotaku managed to snag a screen capture of the list. As it turns out, there are more than 100 songs in this bad-ass soundtrack, and that includes popular and even legendary artists like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Manowar, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Scorpions, Testament, and many, many more. If you're not yet familiar, Brutal Legend is the bizarre yet oddly amusing story of a roadie who traverses a surreal, metal-infused world where his handy-dandy guitar doubles as an axe. Heck, we've even seen video of him whipping out that unique instrument to rip off a quick solo, thereby summoning a dune buggy of sorts that lets him zip around the vast landscape. It's one of our most anticipated titles of the year, and that soundtrack – in our minds – is reason enough to give it a try.
Now, who wants that soundtrack available for purchase? Raise your hands! All metal-heads will consider it to be one hell of a must-have compilation; that's for damn sure.
