If you're not at all familiar with Wet , we suggest you check out this latest gameplay trailer before reading on. …there, now that you have a basic idea…
It seems that developer A2M didn't have a heck of a lot of faith that initial publisher Activision would actually produce this game. According to European site PlayStation Only , the game's Creative Director, Patrick Fortier, spoke about the switching of publishers. Wet is now set to be distributed by Bethesda Softworks, and Fortier believes his title is definitely in a better place. Speaking at an event in Amsterdam yesterday, he said that "after they heard that Activision would not be publishing all of Vivendi's titles [after the Activision/Blizzard/Vivendi maneuver]" A2M made a decision. They weren't convinced that Activision wouldn't just drop Wet – like they dropped several other projects – so the designers looked up Bethesda. Fortier says the new partnership is working out, adding that Bethesda hasn't "limited them in any way." As most of you know, Activision is primed to deliver several huge blockbusters to store shelves later this year – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Guitar Hero 5 included – so there's no knowing how they may have treated Wet . We've always thought it looked like a promising action title, but we're not publishers…God only knows what those guys are thinking sometimes.
So anyway, when Wet finally goes on sale, you'll have Bethesda to thank. Let's just hope you'll have a reason to thank them…
Related Game(s): WET
Haha they keep giving me more reasons to not ever own an Activision game!!!
Haha go Activision go! Shoot yourself on the foot more!
'Bout wait, it looks so cliche. It will only get a buy from me if its story and character development are beyond normal standards.
Just seems like that "Woo" game. Flashy flashy. Lack in really engaging/believable storyline.
Name one person that watched Kill Bill for the story line.
I didn't watch it
Well since this Wet game seems to be a pure action game then I'll forgive its lack of great storyline(assuming here).
But if, and only if the gameplay is amazingly fun.
I did…because it was a badass movie and Quentin Tarantino is one ballsy mofo…
unlucky for u then Scarecrow since one of the best game ever is published by them cod4!
You hate war but your favorite game is about war? Okay….
@Jawknee,
Is that statement for me?
When did I say I hate war?
I just don't like Activision's games
I watched for story.
No scarecrow.
Well despite their decision I'm still VERY skeptical about A2M. I mean honestly, do they have any good games? WET looks good, but I have my doubts whether it'll deliver what it promises.
As of this moment I'm not impressed from what I see.
Well, let's see when the game comes out…
Just wish it went in a more creative direction. Just looks like cliche Lara Croft shooting shooting shooting.
Meh

my thing about this is that it looks like its MEANT to be over the top, and if they follow through with that theme and make it entertainingly over the top, it should me fun (gameplay permitting)
but if they fall short and dont push it to the limit, like if the game tries to take itself too seriously, it'll be on a slippery slope to fail-ville.
Wanted was supposed to be over the top action and shooting. In reality Wanted was an O.K. movie and a little less than O.K. game.
Let's hope WET can do better with the action.
Wanted is an example of something that tries to be over the top, but also takes itself too seriously
the combonation DOES NOT work
Yes but I wonder if WET has enough story and action to draw people in or is it going to be very repetitive after 15 mins of play like Wanted?
What is this Lara Croft comparison going on lately? It looks way different and it has definately "wet" my appetite especially for a multiplat. Over the top action with swords and guns, a main character you can "get behind," and a bunch of stylized individuals as bad guys.
It probably won't be a huge seller but I'm all interested and stuff. Looks more my speed than Bayonetta.
Blame Meghan Fox for all the Lara Croft thinking going on. Ever since the rumour that she might be the next one..it seems everything is being compared to her..lol.
Here is the typical thought pattern now of most guys lately:
"Ah crap, tele tubbies is on TV…hmmm, I wonder how Meghan Fox would look as a tele tubby, I'd still do her, she might be the next Lara Croft, that's awesome! Man, Tele Tubbies is just another Lara Croft wannabe…"
Eventually, the Lara Croft thing will go away and everything in the world will be compared to Meghan Fox…It's inevitable..We'll be saying things like, "Dude, your car is so Meghan Fox!"
Okay maybe not…but nice to know my imagination still works..lol
As for Wet, I agree with you. It looks more my style then Bayonetta. I thought Bayonetta looked a bit over done. Of course the red slow-mo stuff was a little hard to watch too.
Something tells me that this will just be a renter for me. Lately I notice that if a game only offers 8-12 hours of entertainment, then I'll rent it for a week. If it's something like Fallout that will keep me going for a few weeks/months, then I'll shell out the dough. The only "short" games I buy now are the ones with good online play. So unless this game is suprisingly a third person shooter RPG…then I probably won't be leaving my hard earned dough on the counter.
(A bit off topic, but speaking of Online, I saw a note from Crimson Wolf last night trying to set up a PSXextreme clan match on KZ2, you still game? Maybe if we can get the clan into the forums or something to agree on a time, it would be nice to give it a go.)

Haha Tomb Raider sucked when it was Angolina. Megan Not a Fox isn't going to make it better.
Have to agree with World here although Bayonetta looks pretty damn cool to me as well.
oh yeah? My presence in the forums has had to be smaller as I've been busy but I'll look into it. A clan match would be nice.
(Oh yeah and I'm not bashing on Bayonetta, it looks good too.)
My eyes hurt!
So much slow-motion crap
It's an overdone technique, it actually makes things to easy
Making enemies easy to beat and the gameplay repetitive.
shoot shoot, slooooooooooow time, shoot shoot, sloooooow time.
Rinse and repeat
Leave it in real time please
Anyone else play Woo's Stranglehold?…
You might wanna steer clear of Max Payne 3 then my friend.
I wonder how long it will be before we see a lawsuit against Bethesda..
I think A2M believes they have a better game than they actually do… I've not been impressed with what I've seen so far.. This game is gonna bomb imo
kill bill was just stupid.
i mean she lobs a guys arm off and enough blood comes out for you to have a shower in it for 10 years.
back on topic, im glad they switched from activision if they stayed with them they probably would of delayed this till next year.
come to think of it now this years looking a little bleak.
between now and next year theres like 8 games i want to get thats it.
last year there was 8 in october alone.
The whole purpose of movies and video games is to portray things that as of our lifetime, can't happen. Did you hate Iron Man because of all the unrealistic things shown in that, minus well hate every thing, infact minus well change your name to ULTIMADREAM
meh…
exactly
Cod4 will never be the best game ever, not even close. Max Payne 3 looks sick.
Wet looks cool. I'm glad it isn't being published by Activision. Activision is the new EA, it seems.
