This may not be gaming related, but this is just about the biggest shocker I can think of. Michael Jackson has passed away after suffering a heart attack in Los Angeles. The reports are slowly being confirmed by various sources, and I have no idea what to think. I am utterly speechless. The guy was a legend and has created some of the best music of our time. "Thriller" and "Bad" were two of the very first CDs I've ever owned when I moved to the United States in 1992.
This is a damn shame. Rest in peace, sir.
I'm in shock as well, just found out about it on cnn a few minutes ago.
I will miss him artistically.
Man being in shock is an understatement, I really can't believe this. I've been a huge MJ fan since I was 7 and was a ticketholder to his upcoming concert, was so looking forward to it.
This is just completely devastating.
well it isn't confirmed yet that he's dead. They only said "NOT BREATHING". LoL……. theres still a chance that they might revive em.. :O
Nvm, i take that back. they confirmed he's dead. RIP
I wish that was true and he didn't die
By the way Ben, it wasn't Heart Attack, it was a Heart Arrest. They are both completely different things. A heart attack is when some part of your heart malfunctions and in return, that part does not supply Oxygen to the rest of the body but Heart Arrest is when the heart literally stops working and within 6-7 minutes, your brain cells start to die since you are breathing and no oxygen is being supplied to the body. MJ died because of Heart Arrest and NOT heart attack. May he rest in peace!
And its Arnold not Ben
he may have been a bit of a creeper, but as a musician I mourn his passing as one of the greatest modern contributers to music in the world.
Michael Jackson RIP

That's what I'm seeing…until a hospital spokesperson says so, then…
Wow pretty much the biggest shock this decade It's a shame Michael Jackson is truly a legend in the music industry R.I.P
Let's me just say that I'm 37 years old so you'll see what time period I grew up in. And regardless of recent news, I'll just respectfully say that he is a loss to pop culture.
Quite bizarre to hear the news here, but er thanks I guess.
I just found out about this. Regardless of peoples' views of him, he was a huge contributor to music and helped make mega hits of Quincy Jones awesome songs.
Quincy Jones is awesomely talented as well. When he and Michael Jackson hooked up it was one of those moments like capturing lighting in a bottle. They created magic together.
So true.
holy shit today its my birthday
Holy Shi…
not dead according to cnn.
It's being said he's in a coma, but not breathing anymore, and have a machine assisting him. The doctors are probably keeping him alive until the remainder of his family bids him farewell.
they just reported him dead as of 6:29 pm
Yep, it's now official.
God RIP Michael
Well, that's just terribly sad news.
God I hate getting older. Farrah Fawcett passed away today as well. I hate seeing the entertainers I enjoyed in my youth reaching the ends of their lives. That said MJ and Farrah were really still relatively young. MJ was only 50.
Some will always have doubts and questions, and we'll probably never know the complete truth about Michael Jackson. We do know about his music, and it was phenomenal. What a talent, and an artists he was. A sad day indeed. I hope that in death he can find the peace he never found in life.

Couldn't agree any more with your last paragraph.
He was bizarre, but incredibly talented. None of us could imagine what his life could have been.
Personally it doesn't affect me, never really liked any of his stuff, but it's still sad that such a big celeb has died, but at least it's now safe for little boys to go to the park… RIP MJ
He was never convicted of any child sex charges.
Just guessing, but your probably too young to remember the good times of MJ.
Conviction by law is not the only determinate of the truth, that's all I'm going to say.
Nor is conviction by media.
Now is not the time for this discussion.
Yeah I agree Vertigo.
Still, we don't need remarks like that on this tribute board.
Talk about kicking a man when he is down…
Okay okay, I'll wait till Friday at 6pm. Since he made such great music I'll give him 24hrs.
@ coldbore…way to early to be saying stuff like that. Haven't you seen Southpark before? Wait like 4 years, then you can say that.
RIP MJ
Do you have no shame, What is your problem…your a sick person
@Jiggy
it's 22.4 years
season 6 episode 2
He was a great musician.
I know this might sound harsh, but if his game indeed comes out later this year it might sell more now that he's died. Gamers might sympathize and buy the game. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with that emotion therefore I'm not buying the game, but don't get me wrong he's very great, but none of his stuff will ever be uploaded into my IPod Touch.
what game? Michael Jackson Hero?
wow… the ad below this is selling tickets to a mj concert… this deserves to go on failblog, but then again it may not be appropriate for that.
It's not appropriate. It's not a 'fail', it's just pure coincidence that an add server serves up that on this day.
this comment deserves to be added to the failblog ;D
The first album I ever bought with money I earned myself was Michael Jackson's History.
Will have to buy it again now at an exhorbitant premium as it was stolen some years ago.
Brilliant musician/entertainer/icon, possibly the biggest ever.
Its sad that his first 25 years in music has been tainted by the last 15 years or so of his life. RIP.
MTV is having an MJ marathon right now in case anyone is interested. Thriller in its entirety is being played!
Its confirmed. It's such a shame to see what he had turned into over the years, and now much too young to have passed.
Man, I remember when I was just knee high to a grasshopper, I used to run around singing "I'm bad, I'm bad you know it" and thats all I knew of the song" lol RIP michael. this is the biggest news since Princess Diannas Death, I think.
I don't know…Freddie Mercury was a big shocker too…..wait that was before Diana
* EDIT * i had to put capitals for there names…* EDIT *
