Well, I guess Sony reads the poll results for PSX Extreme. Either that, or they just know how to close a show with a bang.
Last week, we asked what your most anticipated E3 game would be; i.e., what title were you most looking forward to seeing at the show. The vast majority of you said God of War III , and we got a very special treat at the end of Sony's E3 press conference…you're still drooling over that gameplay presentation, aren't you? If you haven't yet had the pleasure, you can view both the Developer Walkthrough Part I and the Developer Walkthrough Part II ; your mouth will drop in no time. For more irony, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was your second most-anticipated game of the show, and Sony led off with an unbelievable demo presentation. So damn, most all of you got your wish, huh? Even Gran Turismo 5 made an appearance and that came in third; in fourth was Team ICO's mystery project, which we now know is The Last Guardian . Yeah, that conference had a little something for everyone, but now that it's in the books, the inevitable question is: what was your favorite part?
Thing is, as much as those GoWIII and Uncharted 2 demonstrations kicked ass, perhaps you were more excited by the PSP Go! or Sony's motion sensing technology. Or perhaps you were all psyched to learn about ModNation Racers or Final Fantasy XIV . And so, we ask the question and it's once again time to vote. We were gonna ask you who you thought "won" E3, but we're not quite so naive as that. We despise the idea that we might be biased or a "fansite" – the avid readers know I really don't care about "brand loyalty" – but hey, we're a PlayStation site. We know that. 🙂
I knew it would win. Maybe next time uncharted.
GOWIII looked and sounded pretty amazing,my only minor complain was that the camera could have been closer to Kratos but it's still going to be off the chain.I don't know why but when I was watching the Uncharted 2 gameplay "GOTY" kept popping into my head for some strange bizarre reason.
Sony, without a doubt. The PS3 is becoming (quickly) the premier gaming experience.
My favorite E3 moments —
1 – Gran Turismo 5/GT PSP.
2 – Uncharted 2
3 – GOW III
4 – Motion Technology
5 – PSP GO!
GOW 3 is gonna rock plain and simple
personally i wasn't too fascinated by FF 14
i thought it was cool, but then as i watched i thought 'man this really looks alot like FF 11'
then it said online and i just said 'meh it's most likely gonna be just a better improved FF 11'
i like to play FF by myself
plus SE is being shifty once again saying they aren't going to rule it out for 360
that's all sony and ps3 need is another shot like that from square enix
HOWEVER!!!
even if that was to occur, i doubt it would put a dent in the ps3 now since it's on a roll with such awesome exclusives like GOW 3, U2, GT 5, and my personal favorite… R&CF: ACiT
it hurt back then when ps3 wasn't as popular, but now….. it's a whole nother ball game!

I have come to a point where now I can not justify paying full price for multiplatform game, not because of the developer's laziness or incompetence to make both versions look absolutely identical, but the fact that my PS3 is being limited, no matter what multiplat games they are. I know some PS3 exclusives may have a short gameplay ( Heavenly Sword ) but at least the graphic and cinematography definitely makes up for it, I haven't yet seen facial expression as good as in Heavenly Sword, not even Killzone 2, let alone multiplat games. That's why all these PS3 exclusive really makes me happy and feel very satisfied in spending my money for these games, right now I have an absolutely great fun playing Infamous as good guy. Hell, I'll even pay $100 or more for a vintage collector edition of God Of War 3 if they provide it. Bottom line is, the PS3 games really are about the satisfaction of gamers and keep pushing the standard to become more and more advanced every time, I shudder to think how good Infamous 2 or Killzone 3 will look like in the future. PS3 exclusives all the way !
Most of my games are exclusives
Games which are made for the ps3 have that extra flair to them.
True! Thats why I didnt buy Fallout 3 (no matter how fun of a game anyone calls it) because Bethesda seemed to be catering to the XB360! Im on an exclusive warpath! I dont care what experience I missed as long as I didnt get some run down ported version for my superior hardware!
the only letdown for me was GTA4 i fell for the hype
its a ok game but its not a 10 a 9 at max in my book
fact is its hard for me to replay just to get the trophies
the game is just not FUN more of work and thats sad
I am by no means a fanboy and I find it a shame that I have to say that each time I feel the need make a comment about how great the PS3 is. Anyway, I couldn't agree more with this comment by ACEHIROKU. I play Uncharted to this day because it amazes me on every front. Then there is Prologue the most amazing demo/full game before its full game release (take a minute to think about that one). MGS4, need I say more? I thought so. Point is these are all exclusives and they are the best of anything that is offered out there. The same argument can be said for the X360 and the Wii but when put side by side the PS3 is more fun, more technically advanced, better looking and the list goes on. Seriously, how can anyone play Uncharted and not smile, laugh, pull back in amazement at explosions and then think in the end "time to play again just to experience it all…again."
If this is what having exclusive will do for my game? I'm in.
Hell yeah!!!
The scale of this game is truly insane. It's gonna be one of those games every gamer's gonna want to have!
Kratos' back! Most badass main character since Solid Snake.
kratos is more badass than solid snake and chuck norris put together
Yeah if only he had Nariko in there too
Most badass babe in video games!
Kai is such a badass too.
I think we all remember, "Peek-a-boo, asshole."
It will simply be a fantastic digital entertainment experience… GoW3 rulez!
Q!
"i am home"
Completely understandable! The color palate and graphics are a gamers wet dream. At the start of the demo Kratos' face tells all. His detailed expressions and warrior stance says alot about this game. I can say I will not be surprised when this game takes GOTY for 2010!!!
I was monstly impressed with MGS: Peace Walker, looking forward to that.
along with FFXIII & XIV.
There was just so much to get excited about at E3 but I think for me my most anticipated are GT PSP, GT5, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Heavy Rain.
Well, I voted for 'Heavy Rain' and last I checked, it had the least amount of votes.
Hopefully that only reflects people's E3 expectations and has nothing to do with the eventual sales figures.
Okay PSX, this might be a topic for the forums, but I'm going to call you out on something.
Before the E3 conference it seemed a majority of members and editors were very anti-motion sensor gaming. Now E3 has come and gone and suddenly everyone is on board? Seems everywhere I look now everyone is suddenly excited to see what becomes of this technology. WTF? You've even gone so far as to ask in the poll about "that sweet motion sensing tech"
So what happened? Is everyone actually starting to think of Motion sensing as a form of gaming now? I've had a Wii in my house now for a few weeks and can see the appeal of motion sensing, and have changed my mind a little about it. But why does it seem that suddenly everyone else who hated the idea are all excited about it?
I'm going to start a thread on this in the Forums to, so if you would like to comment without derailing this thread..hop on over and leave your two cents worth…
@CH1N00K
Not me, after watching E3, it just cemented what I already thought.
FYI, I was in the vast minority when I kept openly posting way before E3 that I'd like to see motion sensing if done right.
I'm glad the Sonymote, PRE-Natal(& yes, even the Wii+)technology is progressing(although MILO creeps me out).
I see all this upcoming technology as an extra option of "choice", plus sign for gamers to enjoy the game.
I just hope that the Sonymote will more than live up to(and surpass) all the hoopla, hype, & expectations.

Normal games > motion controllers
That remains true 'till a motion controller based game proves us wrong.
It's a nice IDEA, but that's the problem. It's just an idea, no developer has been able to do something amazing with it.
GOW3 will be epic, but I reeeeeally want to play Heavy Rain, its one of a kind. I also have to play FFXIII versus.
God of War III is simply Sony's best 1st party game exclusive. This game is one of the reasons I bought a ps3.
it's one of the MANY reasons i bought mine 🙂
I voted Heavy Rain!
And if they do it right, I think it could become the foundation of a whole new genre for games as we've known them.
GoW III left me in awe, demo plz!!! Now that I've seen Heavy Rain, I can't wait to get it. S-E surprised me with FFXIV but they have to do more than that to earn back my respect. The U2 demo was balls nasty, can't wait for it to come out. That's it, time for some tasty brains….
