As we have finally confirmed that Lost Planet 2 is indeed coming to the PlayStation 3, we figured the next announcement would involve a demo. And so it does.
According to PS3Center , the game was on display at E3, and it featured four-player co-op fighting against a plethora of giant mechs, and during this presentation, Capcom confirmed the demo for the PS3. Now, we'd like to assume that the gameplay demonstration at the show will be part of the demo that launches on the PSN, but we can't confirm that right now. We also don't have a release date, but we assume we'll get that when we finally see a finalized launch date for the final product. We do know the game is scheduled to release later this year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, but beyond that, we're in the dark. Of course, based on the feedback we've seen at PSXE, Lost Planet 2 may not be a top priority for owners of Sony's machine, especially if it comes out alongside certain mammoth exclusives. But hey, we're not going to complain when a promising title drops into the PS3's library, nor would we complain about a demo. We like demos.
As soon as we get more information for either the game or demo, we'll be sure to let you know. At the very least, there are giant robots involved…that has to hold some appeal for gamers, right?

Why all the bellyaching for a sequel to a horrible game? No thanks.
Buddy, if you don't even like the game then don't even comment on it, if you don't like it just ignore the article. There are PS3 owners that are waiting for this game so you shouldn't be saying that. At least be happy that PS3 is getting great games.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to the game, and can't wait to try the demo! 🙂
i hated the first game, but im really looking forward to this one.
The same could be said for killzone 1, it was lackluster in some peoples eyes, but killzone 2 was awesome
I liked the first Lost Planet as well. And I also couldn't stand the first Killzone. I'm hoping the Lost Planet is better than the original just as Killzone 2 bettered the original.
Jaybiv, looking back at it, lost planet was kind of boring but LP2 should be sick, I hope there is no more focusing on if your running out of heat, that was annoying.

Damn Aaron, you haven't posted in a minute.
Jaybiv, you a Hip-Hop fan?
@Fabi: Lets just say E3 has brought me back from hiding lol. Nah, i just been busy with work and working out, but i'll be posting more often. Plus i moved recently, so my net was down for a bit
I guess we took one back from 360 exclusitivity like they took 2 away from us. Final Fantasy franchise and MGS. This game doesn't interest me though. I never bought it when it first launched on the 360. But if your into mecs, this is probably a great game.

I'm glad to have lost planet 2 on the ps3. Just because you didn't like the first one doesn't mean you won't like the new one. Try and keep an open mind:) Lost planet 2 looked great at E3. Can't wait for the demo.
I loved the scale of the first game, only thing that I thought blew was pacing due to my character trudging every damn legs made of lead. But this is looking to be hella sweet and everybody I know can't wait to shoot some more bright orange beasties!
LP2 looks awesome, you guys need to get over it not being an exclusive. It looks 100X better than the first.
This is true, i honestly think the reason why some are hating on this is the grudge they are holding against capcom ( im not too happy with them this gen too, mainly because of dlc practices ).
The first game was ok to some, boring to others. This game doesn't look like its more of the same. And say what you will, this game does look awesome and i was a tad bit jealous when i thought it was gonna be only on 360
i cant understand why people hate killzone shure it has ALOT of bugs but that aside it was the second best FPS i played on ps2.
best being BLACK and when is black 2 going to be anounced we all know its comming just confirm it already!
and since when is lost planet 2 comming this year? i thought it was slated for early 2010.
Thing about black is the main draw point for it, destructible environments is already being implemented in other fps games, with black 2, it would have to step its game up considerably, and multiplayer would need to be implemented.
I liked the first one (played it on the 360) and since I don't have my 360 anymore, I'm looking forward for this game on PS3.
I'm glad it's going multi

not interested
To much money to be made on multiplat. Should be a pretty good game.
So SHOULD the first but with Capcom unable, currently, to match the heights they hit last generation my hopes aren't too high. That's without the problems of the first game being considered.
LP:EC was a great premise and a pretty average game with poor multi player and awkward gameplay all round(how slow and annoying was the stumble, struggle to get back up stuff evry two steps?)AND one of the worst 360-to-PS3 ports ever made with evry fault(techwise)magnified and some new frameraste issues added specially for PS3 gamers.
Whatever, mechs are cool, the idea is great and it just CAN'T be as poor as first time out, can it? IDK given Capcoms current ability to underwhelm me.
I agree mastif, capcom hasn't really been able to wow me like they did back in ps2's era.
Looking forward to this game but i hope its not the usual capcom practices they have implemented this gen
Capcom really needs to bring back their old 2002 "Steel Batallion" mech franchise, along with that awesome 40 button, 2 joysticks & 3 foot pedals controller set-up(that the old Xbox had).
Just upgrade the freaking game & put it on the PS3!
Come on Capcom, damn it, I know you guys can revive it!!!!
