Everyone's talking about Hideo Kojima's new project – the current rumor is that it'll be announced on the 18th, a few short days away – but what about the possibility of new downloadable content for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots ?
According to PS3.Kombo , a new rumor has arisen: Konami will announce "Raiden-based DLC;" it will launch with the long-awaited Trophy patch for MGS4. Basically, all you Snake fans will step into the capable shoes of Raiden for two chapters, although we're not sure if those chapters are part of the original MGS4 story. Wouldn't it be awesome if they were all new sections to that intricate plot? Portions of the story we've never seen before, rather than just the same story seen through Raiden's eyes…? At the same time, the MGS4-on-360 rumor has returned as well: supposedly, it will come to Microsoft's machine next spring, and the game will be loaded with all available DLC. Well, we'll leave that for another time; let's focus on this Raiden thing. Remember when it was believed that Kojima's new game would be a prequel featuring this same character? Is it at all possible that similar information has been used to create both rumors? It's hard to know what to believe these days, but we assume the air will clear some time next week…
And don't get all freaked out about MGS4 going to the 360. Even if it does happen, the fact that PS3 owners had it in 2008 (as opposed to 2010) is solace enough. Besides, Konami has once again shot down that rumor, saying: "unfortunately we are still not working on a 360 version of MGS4. However, we're revealing something." (source- Game of Honor )
