Maybe this will put an end to the irritating saga. But then again, we still have this sneaking suspicion that not enough PlayStation 3 owners care .
First, there was no real confirmation one way or the other concerning Lost Planet 2 . Then, it was announced for the Xbox 360 with no mention of the PS3, thereby earning Capcom some jeers from the Sony crowd. Directly following this, the rumors began to spread that a PS3 version would also release, and the publisher didn't help matters by saying it was a "confusing" situation. Now, hopefully it's all over: according to GamingFront , the Official PlayStation Magazine has revealed the following:
"…Capcom has since confusingly refused to confirm on the record what Lost Planet 2 is coming out on. Whatever guy. We can tell you that it is definitely going to be released on PS3."
Okay, so can we stop this now? Or do we really have to wait until Capcom finally sends out the press release officially confirming it? We do understand the publisher's reluctance on this matter; while Lost Planet: Extreme Condition was a popular title on the Xbox 360, it didn't fare quite so well when it released a lot later on the PS3. From a purely business standpoint, we can indeed comprehend the conundrum, but at the same time, we'd just point to the increasing PS3 user base (nearing 23 million now) and go, "uh…what's the problem?"
