We've heard similar refrains before from developers who have worked exclusively with the PlayStation 3; something along the lines of, "this can only be done on the PS3."
Now that inFamous is a mere two weeks away (and those of you who have pre-ordered at GameStop should've already played the demo), Sucker Punch employees are handing out a lot of interviews. They often speak at length about the very involved development process, and in the latest talk with Giantbomb.com, one of the team members says quite clearly at the start of the video- "PS3's the only place we could've made this." Feel free to watch the trailer to hear what else the guys have to say; it's definitely worth your time. Besides, there's plenty more gameplay scenes to drool over, too. But the aforementioned statement is what has the Internet talking – this typically happens when a professional says the PS3 can do something the Xbox 360 can't – and the controversy continues to rage. But Sucker Punch seems convinced that the piece of hardware they have chosen is special; they call it a "very deep well" that they "haven't seen the bottom of yet," and because of this, it's a "pleasure" to work with. Now, your imagination and creativity is the limit because the hardware isn't the "roadblock" it used to be. The sky's the limit!
With everything we've seen of inFamous , we've no doubt it'll be another awesome PS3 exclusive. And is it really a coincidence or a Sony conspiracy that these exclusive developers are praising the PS3's significant technical power? …seems unlikely. Seems they just like working with the most powerful console available.
Related Game(s): inFamous
Infamous looks good kinda like Uncharted.
it will only get better, imagine games 5 years from now…
Is this game worth getting? The videos look really good.
Yes this is the next big game for ps3.
When is the psxe review coming out ?
I can't wait to call down some lightning storms.

It'll be up when the embargo lifts. Won't be too long…
IGN has reviewed this. 9.2. they are usually reliable.
What about PROTOTYPE review?
i preordered this and the GameStop guy had no idea what i was talking about when i asked for the demo code.
Gamestop preorders come with the giga-watt power pack, game crazy has the demo with preorder deal.
Same here. I preordered at GameStop and no one knew nothing about no demo code. Does anyone know if it's part of the receipt somewhere or if it was actually a seperate slip of paper they gave you or something? I would've preordered it even had there been no demo offer because it's fairly obvious that the GameStop by me orders initials shipments of games, esp PS3, based on preorders alone (i.e. no preorder, no copy of game for you in stock first week or two – pathetic imo), but I'm fairly psyched about this game so would've liked to have played the demo. The more I deal with GameStop the more I think they're franchises or something as they seem to have no centralized database system (you gotta change preorders, etc, in person, at the store you ordered at), some stores have updated release dates, some don't, etc.
i just called ahead to mine before I went in to preorder and they had them. They are scratch-offs that are on a little slip of paper.
For those who haven't played the demo, the game is really fun. I thought it might have some problems but the gameplay was just so much fun that I couldn't stop. This is a must buy for me.
It's a separate slip of paper, my gamestop had two but they disappeared like…instantly =| so i didn't get one…
I want to get it day one but I wanted to wait for a demo.
I think the demo will be available a few days before release, like the Killzone 2 demo.
hmm, i just called the Gamestop i preordered my copy from and talked to a different guy. he said they have not recvd their Codes yet but should be coming soon. Weird that some have them and some dont.
The 1st party stuff from Sony definitely looks the best, but OF COURSE the studios are going to praise the "power of the PS3". It's in their interest to do that. Im not saying that the PS3 is anything less than great, but if a salesman says "This car is the best!", I wouldnt put much stock in it.
IGN had a few promising reviews already….I hope it doesnt play too much like GTA with the sandbox thing.
The beauty of the Playstation experience
I was also a big fan of the Nintendo experience before the Wii.
So will there be a downloadble demo in store ben?
Next Thursday, the 21st I believe, it should be availabe on the PSN.
thanks for answering
Wouldn't mind a demo myself, but I preordered from Gamestop and knew nothing about a demo. It would be nice to learn control layout before starting play of the full game.
i ordered mine yest from amazon 🙂
see sucker punch i for one admires ur game and i didnt buy the one that comes with the beta
dont get me wrong U1 was my favorite game of all time with TM2 nd FFVIII
I started to get mine from Amazon, but I wanted to be able to grab it on the way home from work.
So when you put your biased aside and make a game for the PS3 and really get your hands dirty, it turns out to be a "pleasure" to work with. If other devs don't take notice they'll be left behind for sure.
The guy that posted the article at "TheGamerAccess" really started up a storm by wording it all the way he did… he could've just posted the video, but instead he goes on to say things like "i don't see why the 360 can't do this" and whatnot… he was very biased. it was almost as if he just wanted to start an 360vsPS3 thread.
Well I just sold some crap on ebay so I might be getting infamous with the rest of you (pun intended)
Consider it copped.
Hey who else thinks that no matter how things go, 360 fanboys are going to be clinging to prototype for a while?
Yup! Nobody's clinging Halo Wars so they gotta pick a multi plat.
Played the demo and I thought it was awesome so far
Prototype is all they have… But it's multiplat and it also seems like a pretty decent game. might pick it up somewhere down the line or rent it first. inFamous I will get on day 1.
From all the footage I've seen inFamous looks like it has solid gameplay, and for me that is always one of the first things I look for. That and physics…
FFXIIIon360: hahahahahahahah whahahahahahah hahahahahah whahahahhahahahahah…..
yeah you know everything, and you are totally up to speed with all current affairs you should write your own blog, you'll be famous in no time.
You're also right Gears of War, Fable and Mass Effect could not have been done on the PS3, it could have been done better on the PS3…
Gears was an awesome game thou, but don't rest your entire argument on your personal opinions as that concept is severely flawed.
As for your no games comment…. here have look at (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=858296.) And that list excludes Japan and Europe. So come now friend, stop being a "Nancy" and "harden the F*** up".
Blu-ray open world city= bigger and more intricate than DVD open world city.
BTW, Anyone else think it's kind of ridiculous that the store date for Infamous is the Tuesday after the holiday weekend? Would it have killed them to release it a week earlier, especially since some retailers allegedly already sold copies, as that way the ps3 owner demographic that actually has to work alot would have some extra time to spend playing? Labor day is the first day I've had off since Jan 1, days are few and far between, and I'll spend it prob waiting for Tuesday to arrive so I can pick up this game. wtf?
Wrong there Sucker Punch.
You mean no Blu-Ray= no inFamous.
I have played the demo, and I can easily say that this is up there as one of my favourites for my PS3… and that's a big statement!!!
I have 35 games on my PS3 so far, and I feel that Infamous takes the best elements of all other big games and brings it together perfectly.
Take the climbing abilities from Assassin's Creed.
Take the open-world environment of GTA IV.
Take the over-the-top action of Crackdown.
Take the Karma Good vs Evil element of Fable II.
And finally…
Take the superhero elements of a Marvel comic book hero…
Mixed together, you have the finest PS3 exclusive of 2009, next to GOW III of course.
