Final Fantasy fans have been anxiously awaiting the Blu-Ray release of "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" in North America, and now, we have a solidified release date.
In what can be considered the US launch trailer for "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete" on Blu-Ray, it has been revealed that we'll be able to nab this bad boy on June 2 (coincidentally, the first day of E3). You can see the official video at G4TV and as you can see, we're gonna get an extra 26 minutes of bonus footage! You can see some of these extra scenes in that trailer and there's also mention of a "sneak peek" at Final Fantasy XIII . No, we won't be getting that one-hour playable demo that came with the Japanese version of "Complete," but a new look at the hotly anticipated RPG is better than nothing, right? If you haven't yet watched "Advent Children," it's basically a movie sequel of sorts to FFVII, even though the observant may spot some storyline inconsistencies between the two plots. Despite this, the movie is nothing but a solid blast of CGI fun, and that final battle between Cloud and Sephiroth is well worth seeing in high-definition. Heck, it was gorgeous in standard definition!
So there you have it: June 2 is the day, so if you absolutely must have this for your collection, make sure you hit the stores early to secure a copy.
I already have this on reg dvd, so not really interested in getting it for blueray rather get disney Pixars bugs life so much better 😉
