It may have started with Spanish gaming website PS3p.es, but it wasn't long before multiple sources picked it up. The only problem is, Sony has – surprise! – refused to comment on the issue.
What you're looking at here is one of two possible (or probable) 80GB PlayStation 3 bundles that should, at the very least, arrive in Europe some time soon. This bundle features the upcoming action blockbuster, inFamous , while the other package boasts Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty ; both bundles apparently will have a price tag of €399. The latter bundle will release on May 15 and the inFamous package will launch on May 29. The only difference between these offers, besides the offered game, is the fact that the Quest for Booty package will give you an extra Dual Shock 3 controller. Of course, SCEE's reply, as received by PSU, is as follows:
"We haven't announced any of those bundles I'm afraid. I can't comment on the other territories either."
Well, duh. Standard operating procedure. But at this point, it seems almost inevitable that the announcement is right around the corner, although there's no guarantee that either bundle package will be made available outside of Europe. The European/PAL territories have received PS3 bundles before that never showed up in the US or Japan so it wouldn't be a huge shock. But let's just hope that both will go on sale in both Europe and North America at some point in the near future.
