Wet Finds New Home With Bethesda?

There are still a few casualties of last year's Activision/Vivendi merger, and one of them is the mysterious yet stylish third person shooter, simply entitled, Wet .

Some other titles have found homes, but we haven't heard if Wet has a new publisher. Well, according to Joystiq, an accomplished team may have snapped up the promising title; they're Bethesda, makers of Fallout 3 . The sources include Famitsu and Siliconera, and they all say that Bethesda is now in line to put Wet on the market, which should come as good news to most gamers. As for when the game will see store shelves…that's a whole other conundrum. Amazon is listing a date of August 31 while both GameFly and CD Universe set the launch for a month later. But provided the new publisher information is true, we'll be interested to see new information and details in the coming weeks and months. It may seem strange that an RPG-centric publisher like Bethesda would take on such a project, but it seems a lot of big companies are trying to branch out and become diversified these days. What little we know of Wet is enough to keep our interest piqued, but we really need to rake in a few more basics before we can become officially excited.

Anyway, we'll hopefully be able to clarify everything soon, and the necessary info will come along with that clarification.

I think this title will be all wet. It'll get hung out to dry. It'll be a total wet blanket.

I'll throw out this game on a rainy day so it can get all wet.

This game gives me a headache. Wasting money on such unoriginality.

It seems like I'm the only one that thinks this game has a chance of being any good. I feel that if this game is published properly that we will have a fun and stylish 3rd person action game. Here is hoping for a great game.

I believe the article said something about promising title, and if Bethesda is picking it up, they must think it has something because the Bethesda games are great games minus a little trouble getting bugs out for ps3 on Fallout 3, but I didn't have any problems with Oblivion, and both Oblivion and Fallout 3 are great games. I think with Bethesda publishing this game it might be a great game no matter what the title is.

Good news for some, I suppose, but I've sworn off any Bethesda products (good as they've been) due to their absurd Fallout DLC sellout to Microsoft exclusivity. I hope and trust that Wet will suck. Bully for them…

Sick joke? A hot sexy female in the lead with a title like that sounds like a sure thing to me.
