RPG fans always wait patiently for news, as they know the start of a new generation typically sees a great lack of titles that fall into their favorite genre. So it's a good thing we've been able to find new info that's gonna cater to that patient group!
According to RPGamer , NIS America has a big event scheduled for May 7 in San Francisco; it's called – wait for it – the "Holy Drunken Shenanigans, Badman!" event, and NIS will have some announcements prepared. It has been suggested that we'll see the likes of Phantom Brave: We Meet Again and Mana Khemia 2 , both of which are very possible, but we're more intrigued by the "unannounced PlayStation 3 RPG." We'll hear all about it next month at this NIS event and we absolutely can't wait to nab the juicy details; hardcore RPG fans have often turned to NIS for some of the best when it comes to depth, storyline, and traditional role-playing gameplay. It'll be very interesting to see what NIS has on tap for PS3 owners, who have enjoyed a recent influx of RPG and strategy titles in the past 6-8 months or so. With Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII a long ways off, and considering that many PS3 owners aren't all that enamored with Square-Enix right now, NIS America should be able to snap up a few disgruntled former S-E followers.
Anyway, we'll fill you in on this new RPG when NIS lifts the veil in a few weeks time. Some of you who are familiar with NIS America's work in the past may have a few ideas concerning the possible title of this game…
Keep them Rpgs coming:)
Hmmm the opportunities seem almost endless.
Here is hoping for another Disgaea of GrimGrimoire
I love disgaea series, I hope its Alteiler Ronana.
Not much into the RPG scene, looking forward to the Killzone 2 DLC pack later this month 🙂
Q!
"i am home"
Will this be a NISA made game or a NISA Published game? NISA has flubbed up localization so bad lately. I'm going to be cautious of this one.
Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman? lol is that game involved with this in anyway?
Wait, what RPGs has NIS done?
Disgaea series? Atelier Iris series? Mana Khemia series?
Please Please let it be Atelier Rorona!!
I've been craving a new Atelier game for awhile!
*victory dance*
My guess is that they are bringing Cross Edge over here finally.
@Geobaldi cross edge is coming out in May 19, 09 I can't wait.
NIS has been cranking out some great games lately, so I'm looking foward to this. Though honestly, I still need to pick up Disgaea 3…it's definitely on my list but somehow I haven't gotten around to it yet.
@Kevadu dude please pick up disgaea 3,I at first had my doubts about the game but I look on youtube videos and was shock that this game didn't get praise that it need. Its final fanasty tactics on steroids.
Turn-based JRPG please…….please, please, please, please….
@Geobaldi – Cross Edge has already been announced (at least as far as I know it has). So it should be something else.
As someone above suggests I bet it's an Atelier game.
@ffrulez
Don't forget if a game is localized for the NA market it will have English, and possibly Spanish or French (there are sizable populations of Spanish and French speakers in Mexico/US and Canada respectively. Either way, the PS3 and PSP are both region free for games, so as long as the game is in a language you speak, you can buy it from whatever region you wish.
All that remains is for someone to put up a database of all the games in each region and the languages that each version is localized for.
This sounds very interesting, but I first need to get Disgaea 3! Does anyone here reccomend the game?
I definitely recommend it. It's a ridiculously massive and fun if you dig strategy RPGs.
@Lionheart377 please purchase it only if u like SRPG, I my self hate SRPG's but disgaea 3 and valkyrie chronicles are exceptional. I just start d3 and my characters is on lvl 15, I need to do some serious grinding to get to lvl 9999.
This is actually supposed to be a game no one knows about. Its a completely new game from the looks of it.
Any chance it'll be 3D? I like the sprites a lot, but it would be cool to see what NIS could do with a true 3d RPG.
