We brought you a hands-on preview of Sacred 2 back in March when the game was expected to launch, but CDV ended up delaying the release of the game to further tweak and fix the problems that existed (and believe us, there were many!). It hasn't been a bright past month for Sacred 2, as its developer just recently announced bankruptcy, in addition to stating they had troubles with the PlayStation 3 version of the game.
Whether or not those troubles have been resolved will be found out when our final copies are in our hands next month. CDV has announced that Sacred 2: Fallen Angel has gone gold, implying its completion, and ready for production to meet its scheduled release of May 12th.
While we normally don't do this, if you're craving a hack n' slash, we suggest holding off until the reviews start coming in, considering the amount of problems the game had in its last form, which we previewed. We honestly have our doubts that Ascaron was able to fix a lot of the technical issues, but even if they did, the general gameplay design and mechanics still hurt the game's enjoyment.

Whaaat? serious …I've been looking forward to this game for awhile now, and if it's even a little better than the Champions games for ps2, or Baldurs Gate then i was going to pick this one up. I guess I'll wait for reviews then
I am keeping an eye out for this game so we'll see what happens. And even if this game falls short, it might still be an enjoyable bargain experience sometime in the future.
Damn. And I had such high hopes for this one.
Dying companies putting out great games? Probably not.
