If you're a true Guitar Hero fan, you're anxiously awaiting June 16, when the video game equivalent to a Greatest Hits album hits store shelves.
For your viewing pleasure, the official site for Guitar Hero: Smash Hits has been updated with the confirmed tracks straight from the original Guitar Hero . See, it's up to the fans to decide the order of the full track revealing: if you visit the site, you can cast your vote; which lineup of songs do you want to see next? You can view the entire set list for each of the previous GH installments, and bear in mind that Smash Hits will include a total of 48 tracks. We have less than a week to wait before the next group of songs is unveiled but for now, here's what we know will be featured in this Greatest Hits compilation (all from the original Guitar Hero ):
…you know you're getting old when your favorite song on the list is from Boston. But anyway, we'd still rather have Pantera's "Walk" and I think we all know there's a better Blue Oyster Cult song, damnit. Even so, that's all personal preference and we're relatively certain that fans of this gigantic franchise are gonna be happy with what they see here.

That's a pretty nice setlist if I say so myself. I'll probably be getting this one.

SWEET!!!
i love queens of the stone age!!!!
and incubus
I hope that they add the best songs out of the unlockable content too. Songs like Cavemen Rejoice, Elaphant Bones, and Cheat on the Church would be much appreciated
Will this game be just for the guitar peripheral or drums, bass and mic too?

Be that as it may, they can't put Reaper in until they have a cowbell add-on.
Not true, it is on Rock Band.
…
A moment of silence for the lost art of irony.
