Yeah, this is just one of those times where we respond to the idea with, "haha…what?"
It seems that Superannuation has learned that movie studio Lionsgate has filed a trademark registration for AMC's hit TV drama, "Mad Men," which "cites possible interest in a computer game." Apparently, the registration also considers a comic book, but that seems slightly less absurd than a video game adaptation of the popular show. Look, we all have the same question: how do you turn that into game? What do you do, play beat the clock to secure massive advertising deals and then stealthily bang the secretary in a closet so nobody notices? And what might the gameplay controls be like? "Press X to say this. Press Square to say…that." Look, we all know that just about every other entertainment industry on earth wants to tap the honeypot that is the thriving games industry, but this is stretching it. Some will say there are limitless possibilities where interactive entertainment is concerned, and while that may be true, people must still want to interact with it. It has to be interesting. It has to be fun.
Our suggestion? Just watch the show. If they really do turn it into a video game, we'll just have to shake our heads in complete and utter consternation.
Never heard of mad men what time does it come on t.v.
Isn't it from the creators of the sopranos?
Idk
Tis'
…..
Mad Men?? Flock that I like an idea of an Dr who game but this man it could be one of the most terrible video games ever witness by MAN!
ZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZz
I've clicked past it on AMC and boy did it look boring. I like the part about banging the secretary though.
I think Ben threw that part in from his real life experiences…lol
Haha, it's all about exploitation these days, have to make crap for profits, then make more crap for more profits. I know nothing of this "award winning" show, what I do know is that it doesn't need a game or a comic book. The show doesn't appeal to gamers so how are comic's going to appeal to the comic audience? Lametown
oh hell no!
What on earth is this chick in your icon wearing? Ahahahaha… it looks like reverse ass crack suspenders.
Nice.
Edit: Am I allowed to say ass?

This is ridiculous.
People will make a game out of anything these days.
This show does seem fairly interesting though. I think I might try to catch up with the new season.

This is almost as bad an idea as Dante's Inferno. At least there's occassional fisticuffs [word choice intentionally archaic] in Mad Men; there's NO ACTION in the Divine Comedy.
That's why they turned Dante into into a knight who goes into hell to kick all kinds of ass to save his girlfriend and redeem himself.
Oh yeah, Dante kills Death (Grim Reaper) after dying on a battlefield during the Crusades and takes his scythe to use as a weapon.
How's that for action?
Hmm…maybe you should make a game about Twilight next where you play as Edward and when you kiss you have a little minigame in which you must press corresponding buttons on the screen or else the girl will get bitten.
Nice game idea, for sure.
too bad twilight sucks though…no pun intended…it really takes no talent for someone to write that crap…even Stephan king the master of horror said so…anyone that likes it should be ashamed with themselves…seriously…
I'd stand that crap up against my horror any day.
@CobraSalad: yeah it does look weird, I don't know what it is.
It's all the new rage….
