LittleBigPlanet just keeps growing and growing and growing ; by this time three years from now, the numbers could be so astronomically big that they won't fit on this page.
According to Gamers Digest , SCEE has announced that nearly two million players so far have joined the LBP online community since the game's launch in November 2008, and there are now over 725,000 unique user-created levels! The possibilities are limitless – as people are clearly finding out – and there have been levels inspired by everything from movies to music to other video games. Some examples include a "Jurassic Park"-themed level, "LittleBigPlanet Takeshi's Castle," and even "Huge Pinball Machine." In total, SCEE says "the game has been played more than 125 million times with players posting more than four million comments on game levels." Said Mark Hardy, European Marketing Director of Content and Platforms:
"LittleBigPlanet is giving people from every walk of life the opportunity to express themselves creatively. The game is just the start. This is Creative Gaming; never ending experiences that take on lives of their own through their players.
LittleBigPlanet appeals to a generation shaped by their networks and thirsty for great experiences to share with friends. Where LittleBigPlanet goes from here is up to its community; it is theirs to shape however they like. This makes it much more inclusive than gaming has ever been before."
Okay, that does it. It was the lone game from 2008 I truly regret missing and I've put off playing it ever since. Obviously, I have no excuses left and as soon as I'm done with Star Ocean: The Last Hope , I'm gonna have to go buy LittleBigPlanet . …small Week in Review preview before it actually happens. 😉

LBP never gets old… I still go back to it to play new player created levels all the time. Viva LBP!!!
It got old… I bought it, played it every time I had friends over, but then it kinda got stale after we beat it. That "Jurassic Park" theme level sounds fun, I love Jurassic Park. maybe i'll pick it up again.
I don't think anyone thinks the on-disc stuff or beating it have much to do with why it's good and fun. It's all in the wacky online levels.
This is one of those games I could never sell, its just to great for its own good. One day I'll finish the Life Aquatic level I have been working on, be ready for it! Plus they keep adding other game content to it, WipEout, Killzone, MGS, Motorstorm, Resistance.
I have hardly played the game, but enjoyed it the few times I have… this means it won't get stale for me for many years to come…

What Ben???? How could you sleep on this game?? LBP is easily one of the most creative games that I have ever played. Multiplayer is absolutely a blast. The experience is only getting better now that I am dabbling in the create mode. I don't know about you sometimes Ben, lol.
In out house we literally laughed our asses off the first few times in online play, or local multi-player. Sackboy Smackdown pretty much sums up what I'm talking about. There is something fundamentally satisfying and insanely fun about manipulating the Sackboy emotions at the same time as you sack-slap another sackboy across the level or pod.
When we discovered you could rock the pod…..well let's just say I perfected the timing of running from side to side and leaping at the wall to move the pod….
Man, I thought I was the only one who liked rocking the pod! This definitely is not a little kid's game.
I admit this game never really gets old, in fact some of the user created levels are so awesome they make the dev levels look weak in comparison. If you don't beleive me play the shark level by the japanese guy whos name I don't know.
My level got band. apparently the people at MM did'nt find my level 'Ladyboy's Strike Back!' as funny as i did……
haha i have to see that! That just sounds hilarius

It… It's… It's ALIVE!
But this game was a flop…….guess not .
Love this game, didn't play it much though let a friend for now borrow it. My 4 year loves it, his aunt actually made him a sackboy you can dress up it's really cool and looks identical to the sackboy on the game.
I loved it when it first came out and should really play it more as I have been playing other stuff so much but it is one I will keep on going back to eventually.
I dont know if someone mentioned but there is a psycho/genius that recreated contra using the paintgun and LBP WOW!
If they sorted and deleted the garbage levels that take 10 seconds to complete, the game's quality will rise one-hundred fold.
45 bux on amazon isn't bad either. Maybe I should get it too. It seemed interesting when it was first coming out but I ended up buying R2, Fallout 3, PoP and MGS4 instead. Since there's talk of this huge community in LBP it's sounding very interesting again. But do I buy LBP or KZ2? Tough call … and where are those MGS4 trophies? Konami, shame on you.
I've got two levels in there 🙂
LBP rocks, the replay value of it is endless
Even more fun with friends
I love LBP! My only issue is that sometimes when you're working on a level, you'll get something all set up, and it won't work… like, what you typed won't show up, or something you set up won't go. Oh, and I have issues with things breaking – you hear that terrible cracking sound, and realize you have to go back, and fix it AGAIN. Am I the only one having these problems?
Also, I'm experiencing a lot of lag when playing with other people even though my internet is really fast.
Gotta say, little big planet is awesome! It's the only game I can get my non-game-playing gf to play =] that's how good it is! lol. I am thinking about dabbing my hand into making my own levels just to see how far I get.
