If you're at all familiar with previous PixelJunk franchises, you will probably respond to this news thusly: "ooooh, cool ."
As reported by the MTV Multiplayer blog, a recent Sony PlayStation press invitation for the Game Developers Conference included the new project from Q Games, which has already produced PixelJunk Racers and PixelJunk Monsters for the PlayStation Network. Whatever this project is, it's likely another entry in the popular and critically acclaimed downloadable series, and we'll hear all about it in San Francisco next week. Lead creator Dylan Cuthbert will fill us in on the 26th, and as fans of these entertaining little games, we can't wait to hear about it! If you have yet to try a PixelJunk title – perhaps you're at least intrigued by the silly title…? – now may be the time to give one a shot. We've also heard about the possibility of PixelJunk Monsters for the PSP, so maybe Q Games will make that announcement at GDC as well; handheld users should definitely get a chance at playing the game. One should always keep an open mind…
We'll let you know as soon as Q Games pipes up with their new project; this is one of those teams that can always surprise you with their flair and creativity. If you're looking for ingenuity, we always tell you that the PSN is a great place to search. Just look at all the original titles we already have !
I still haven't tried a pixeljunk game, I might in a few days time, I just recently dled Flower, Savage Moon, and Lumines: Supernova, so ima be busy playing that for a while, w/ some nice Killzone 2 here and there, freaking tactician rocks!
Yeah me neither.
Pixeljunk Eden was really neat game. I look forward to the new one 🙂
They've been golden since monsters, so i have faith in em
Isn't one of their next planned games a dungeon crawler of some sort? I forgot the name it had, but it was mentioned in an interview with Cuthbert a few months ago… not sure if this is it though.
Love PJ. I also have faith in them, but I hope it's not just the PSP portable version of PJM they're talking about, but an entirely new game.
Love PixelJunk Monsters and Eden.
I understand you can already play Monsters on your PSP via remote play. I haven't tried it though.
It's going to be Pixel junk eden encore. Not a new game but a expansion of the first.
"ooooh, cool."
Love the PSN and the Pixel Junk games! Got Eden and Monsters, both are freakin awesome! Can't wait to see what they come up with next!
