You may get your fill of zombie slaying this week when Resident Evil 5 launches, but if that fails to quench your blood lust, Kuju Entertainment's downloadable game shop, Doublesix, has you covered.
As GameSpot reports, Burn Zombie Burn will hit the PSN in the US and Europe on March 26, although we currently don't have a price. For those of you old enough to remember the hectic days of Smash TV , you will be overjoyed to learn that such a successful old-school formula hasn't disappeared entirely. Obviously, we'll get a healthy dose of dark comedy infused into the gameplay foundation, which centers squarely on non-stop action in level after level of unimaginable horrors. You can try both co-op and competitive multiplayer modes, and you may need the help…if you do remember Smash TV , you remember just how insane that game could get; the difficulty level skyrocketed quickly. We're expecting something similar in Burn Zombie Burn ; how can we expect anything less? We've already seen a ton of engaging, entertaining titles on the PSN, and although we probably can't call this one "innovative," we can certainly apply the "fun" label. Let's just hope it drops at an agreeable price.
Oh, and if you have no idea what we've been talking about, let's just say this is a top-down, fast-paced shooter with throngs of enemies that almost never ends. Or…well… does it end?

Hell ya, great news! Smash TV was an addictive and insane game but VERY hard. Smash TV like gameplay with zombies will OWN.
Looks fun, Smash TV was a blast! Great 2 player.

This looks neat, I've been burning zombies on an old title Zombie Revenge lately.
@World,
Playing a bit of Zombie Revenge too,
but on my Dreamcast.
"Good fun game, it certainly is"

Oh hell yeah!! Smash TV is a classic and still one that I play a few times a year as well as it's successor Total Carnage. I'd love to see what a next gen remake or sequel of that game would look like today. This game may not be it but it still sounds very promising and one I will pick up without any doubt.
excellent,i will definately buy this….
hopefully this will be worth my $$$ cuz i like most of the psn games
Wasn't there a top-view, two stick controlled Smash TV clone shortly after the PS3's release? I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but I remember it wasn't very well received.
Monster Madness?
I'll be picking this one up.
But where the heck are Fat Princess and Rag Doll Kung Fu?
BZB looks like Crash Gun Chaos… I'll skip it
wait… SMASH TV zombie style?? I would play this, i loved SMASH TV! Does anyone know if this will be 1-4 players simultaneously? It says competitive MP, not sure what that means.
I don't care about Resident Evil or about BZB being innovative. What I care about is, is it fun? Because that's what it looks like to me. I'll pick it up for $10 or whatever.
