Many a gamer is anxiously anticipating the release of Resident Evil 5 , which is slated to launch on March 13. It's a game designed to frighten, but if you want to go on a real-life freak-out session, we suggest purchasing RE5 from Game Crazy .
The retailer will be hosting midnight launch events on Thursday, March 12 (8:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.), and if you're a scare fanatic, you may want to attend. If you're lucky, you will receive a special "T-Virus" icon inside your Resident Evil 5 game box, and this will grant you and one guest a trip to the infamous Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky. Considered to be the "most haunted hospital" in the U.S., it's a trip designed specifically for the horror movie and game lovers, and will likely test your nerves. What better way to follow up your tense interactive experience than to physically tour one of the most intimidating locales in the nation? We're not yet sure when the trip will take place, but it's gotta be worth your time; only 5 "T-Viruses" will be handed out, though, so luck will be necessary. You may recall leaping out of your seat when those dogs jumped through the window in the original Resident Evil , and a trip to Waverly could also be memorable.
So anyway, it's a cool promotion at the very least. Now, all we need is for other publishers to do something similar; you know, like giving away trips to a race track when you purchase Gran Turismo 5 …with your choice of car to take for a spin.

i think i saw this on the SciFi channel show Ghost Hunters.
there's actually a bunch of game crazys in my area cuz i believe they started in the midwest. i actually get most of my purchases from there cuz i've always experienced great service, but that's my opinion. i'm actually going there tomorrow to pick up Killzone 2!
Anybody interested in a 60GB PS3? I have 1 for sale with your choice of 1 game and 5 Blu-ray movies.
How much? I could use another.
I actually prefer gamecrazy since I have one only about a mile from my house. I pre-ordered the special edition. I wonder if I have any chance of winning?
who cares? i dont want that T Virus icon
just want the game
Heh, I live in Louisville, KY and Waverly is retarded.. Just an old TB hospital that a bunch of profiteers have made look creepy..
Some ghost hunter was talking about the "legendary" room 502.. The room was MADE "legendary" by some local tards, simply because it is the dialing prefix here…
you don't really need tickets, you can just walk into it really… assuming these are tickets to louisville and i don't see why anyone would want to come here…
That's cool that you live close to it. I still want to visit it sometime if not just for the creepy atmosphere. So you don't think anything paranormal occurs there? I figure most of the stuff I see on TV about this kind of thing is fake.
guess what, i finally played the demo.
oh god, the controls, i see what people mean by tank controls. i couldn't never play it. die hard fans, eat your heart out, but until they sort out the damn controls, not for me.
MMM the taste of hearts…Yeah, I'm a diehard fan.
Anyone else see an evil Willy Wonka pulling the strings here?
I used to work for game Crazy for almost 3 yrs. The trade in credit at GC is better than GameStop but they are horrible when it comes to pre-orders. Either they don't get enough for everyone who pre-orders the game or they take very few and cut them off to make sure they have enough. They didn't have FallOut 3 until 2 days after launch and didn't do a KZ 2 midnight release. I can think of a few times while I worked there on big titles where we didn't receive enough copies of games to fill pre-orders, it's a common occurrence there and why I never pre-order anything from there.
I live in OHIO and we HAD plenty of stores around until last year when they filed for chapter 11. There were about 500+ stores across America until they closed about half of them down year. And yes most of them are connected to Hollywood video stores (they're owned by them), but there are a few separate locations. Whoever said you can't return used games there is right… it's used so you can only get another copy of the same game, if they don't have one then another game of the same price. that's how it works AT ALL GAME STORES, try to buy something used at GS and try to return it for your money back and see what happens.
As far as customer service goes it's about as good as it gets at any game store, I have horrible service at all of my local GS except one, but they are all so pro-Xbox it isn't funny. This was the 1st PS3 only title they had a midnight launch for and it was nothing special compared to most of the other midnight releases they do.
I used to be ASM at a gamestop and the return policy for used games is 7-days full money back no questions what so ever.
It is how I used to get achievements and trophies.
Maybe it's a trick to unleash an ancient evil…. omg
I like the idea of going to some racing event maybe F1 but an old hospital? never
lmao This doesn't really do much for me, I live up the road from Waverly Hills. Its fun to sneak up there. Its not very scary, but its a little spooky to be in the presence of tens of thousans of people, most of which were thrown out of garbage chutes due to over-population of this early time Tuberculosus Hospital. Its really nice. I'd say worth a free trip for sure.
