Every once in a while, we like to provide our European gaming buddies with some good news. Over the past few decades, they often got the short end of the stick so we can understand if they're a little bitter, but the worldwide scope of gaming has changed things. Getting something awesome a little late is better than never getting it at all!
First of all, PAL territories are only a few days behind on the Street Fighter IV launch. Here in North America, the excellent fighter shipped yesterday and should be on store shelves around the country today; in Europe, it ships this Friday. But there's something else the European PlayStation Store doesn't have…it's Street Fighter II HD Remix , which fans of the series have been anxiously anticipating for quite some time. Apparently, according The Gaming Site, Capcom has confirmed that it will finally arrive on the Euro PSN this Thurday (tomorrow). The price will be £11.99 or 14.99 Euros and for the die-hards who absolutely must have everything Street Fighter , it's a no-brainer purchase. Considering this is a remake of the original SFII, widely considered to be one of the best titles in video game history, your interest level should be high. Really, all Capcom did is make a classic fighter even better, and for such an agreeable price, you can relive the glory days with a boost from next-gen technology.
The day after you download it, you can start calling around to stores to see if they have SFIV in stock yet. Hell, you could go downright SF crazy this weekend.

Is this true??? Am I really one of the only people that didn't really like SF that much?
I always preferred MK back in the day anyway and virtua fighter. I remember that I lost a small fortune to VF in arcades when 2 came out I believe it was. I played as Kage-Maru so much that I was unstoppable when a challenger walked up and wanted to go a round.
On the SF side I played it once or twice with my cousin on the console and I played some of the arcade machines but I just never really liked it. I mean I do realize that it was one of the first fighters out there that grabbed the limelight but I just thought there were so many better ones that have all but disappeared. Killer Instinct, Samurai Shodown, Eternal Champions was the jam!
Definitely true. Look up "Best Game Ever" lists and see where Street Fighter II falls…I think when IGN did theirs, it was somewhere in the top 25.
Holy Crap! Number 8. WTF? I guess it's time to jump the bandwagon and start loving SF then.
MK2 has enough of my quarters from back in the day to save Midway from Chapter 11 today.

Tekken 2 was my quarter muncher. When I win the lottery, A Tekken 2 cab is going in my bedroom.
Good for them its bout time.
about time, ive been waiting for this for a while,
also everything in britain comes out on a friday which is normally why where a few days behind everyone else on release's its like an unwritten law that new stuff can only be released on fridays lol but whatever this means a double dose of street fighter this week!!
Ps am i the only one who loved the street fighter film?? lol
*laughs* I can safely say that, as a kid, I "loved" the Street Fighter movie. But by no means do I think it is a "good" movie. =D

£12! Fair Price, i suppose
Cavan, btw. The UK store update is every Thursday around 5 always has been.
I think he means game releases in stores. Like here in the US everything releases on a Tuesday. Actually, that used to be true not so much anymore, when I worked in a music store all movies and major release albums were slated for Tuesdays, but now that is becoming pseudo true where a lot of things are Tuesday releases but there are the occasional things released throughout the week.
Yeah I think this game is just as good as SFIV. Sme would argue it is better.
Why have they chosen to release this to us now? whos going to be interested when they can get SF4 the next day for just £20 extra, if they gave it us earlier we could have played it in the run up to SF4.
I think its nuts
I think they are hoping to capitalize on SF mania so folks that are loving the new one can jump in the Delorian and go back in time to experience some old school in HD.
well, I take it that the Australian PSN will also get it shortly.
Ive got SFIV now so don't think I will get it.
IT'S ABOUT TIME!!! I lost interest after waiting so long, but since it is coming out tomorrow I'm all for it.
Hi guys, been coming to your site for a little while, really enjoy the work you guys do.
Just joined up to say, and pardon my french, but WHAT A F*%KING JOKE!! I'm from Australia and our PSN store is part of the Euro server, so we've had wait for this title for a while now to. But the fact that they decide to release it now SF4 is avalible feels like a kick to the face. Its like "oh here you are my little peons, you can have it now". What i want to now is where was it months ago and WHY? Sorry for the rant, but it really pisses me off.
Welcome!!
What is your avatar? Ricky Gervais? Or am I just seeing things?

Thanks, yeah thats Ricky Gervais. His character in the office cracks me up 🙂 Once again sorry about the rant, but its so frustrating that we've been left on the sidelines with this and other content on the PSN Store. I really don't understand why content has to be different accross the regions.
