He got one last year, but as far as we're concerned, any honor you wish to bestow on Hideo Kojima is richly deserved.
This year's Game Developers Conference and corresponding Game Developers Choice Awards comes around at the end of next month, and Kojima is prepared to deliver his keynote, "Solid Game Design: Making the 'Impossible' Possible." But at the Choice Awards Ceremony the previous evening, Kojima will receive a very special and well-earned award: the Lifetime Achievement Award. If you couldn't guess from the title, this award "recognizes the career and achievements of developers who have made an indelible impact on the craft of game development," and if Kojima doesn't qualify, nobody does. "For years, Hideo Kojima’s contributions to game development have broken new ground and inspired the community to think about creating games in never-before-imagined ways," said Meggan Scavio, event director of the Game Developers Conference. Kojima will join the celebrated company of previous recipients of this prestigious award, and that includes the likes of Sid Meier, Shigeru Miyamoto, Mark Cerny, Will Wright, and Yuji Naka.
If you want to learn more about the Game Developers Choice Awards 2009, head on over to the official site . We seriously doubt there will be any objections to Kojima receiving this award, though.
If any1 should it should be….him!

I can think of no one more deserving at this juncture in time. Maybe down the road the creator of LBP as that game definitely pushed the industry into new directions but time and more games will tell if they can keep the momentum
