Ben-DutkaMany people have been saying it for quite some time already, and we figured it'd only be a matter of time for Sony to add their voice to the mix. According to the Videogaming247 blog, the latest OPM UK edition will release on January 20, and it'll feature the full Killzone 2 review, so Sony tossed in a coinciding statement.
First of all, that OPM UK issue will be mighty special: not only do you get the KZ2 review, you'll also receive a collectible holographic wallet with an image of a Helghast trooper emblazoned on it. That's a nifty little bonus there, and not something you typically find attached to magazines. Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, Tim Clark, said that "Killzone 2 is without a doubt the best looking game on the PlayStation 3," and they "couldn't be happier with the finished results." To spruce up this unveiling even more, UK PR Manager at SCE UK, David Wilson, said:
"Killzone 2 has been a long time in the making, and best showcases why PlayStation 3 is the only console powerful enough to deliver a ground-breaking title of this nature. Who better to partner with than the Official PlayStation Magazine, in order to offer the readers a special collectors edition issue. It's a great way to celebrate the launch of this milestone game."
Yep, there it is: "the only console powerful enough…" It's a bold statement, and one that Microsoft fans are sure to challenge, but it may be the stone cold honest truth. So the celebration is just around the corner, and leaving the system war nonsense behind, we recommend just enjoying this game when it finally launches in the last week of February.

err LCF… have you see Cryss @ max? crysis use HDR.. from what i see from the trailers, KZ2 use more bloom and a few hdr.
the developer is creative, rather than use full HDR lighting that heavy to render, they mix it with bloom.
the dynamic lighting in crysis also great.
the only downside of crysis's engine is it (minimal) need 250USD graphic card to play @ high.
my GF 8600GT stuck @ medium setting in 1280×800 🙁
i can go high but only get 15-20fps (with a bit overclocking)
btw high-end pc gamer resolution usually is 1440×900 or 1680x … (cant remember)
and with FSAA ? 8x? also AA 16x? and with very high res textures.
it really awesome when i go to my friend to play crysis. his pc can run it @ 1440×900 all max with 4xAA with paralax mapping.

im sorry but according to my eyes from seeing the trailers, KZ2 not use full HDR. it mix HDR and bloom.
The RSX alone is able to do High dynamic range rendering.Now its up to the developer to utilize it.Infact alot of GPU can do HDR.This is why I say there is no hope for you.You are stuck in the stoneage.
So what its a mix? The over all effect is a true testament to how far console games have come from 2D sprites.
I perfer to play games on my 46" Sony Bravia then some dinky 17" screen with high res.
Big screens have come along way.I can't wait for Killzone 2.This game will be a showcase for my theater system.

I do believe that PC's have surpassed the PS3 at this point. No, the games aren't there to support it, but a top of the line Core i7 CPU, 2 ATI 4870X2's, and some smokin' DDR3 is more powerful than a Cell + RSX. I know the PS3 option is a helluva lot cheaper, but that's besides the point.

No, they have not. A Core i7 Extreme is only a Quad-Core Processor, and performance-per-core, the Cell Processor wins.
Core I7 huh? Just cuz that CPU is over clocked dont mean it can do the number crunching like the Cell BE.Why you think Intel is jumping on and going with this type of design?.
You do realize that 2 GPUs is only working one and the other at half capacity right?.You know Cell and Cell type PCs would make it cheaper to play games without having upgrade a GPU everytime in a PC?.Infact a GPU will be no longer needed.The Cell is not even close to any CPU on the market even today.

JA360, How the hell do you know? You dont even own a PS3. Epic and Volition both stated the X360 is maxed out in terms of the X360 hardware. They work with the damn hardware, so get your head out of your ass and listen to them.

ps3 sucks try pc gaming with a hd video card support better graphics and sony also said that ps3 has the most powerfull processor on the planet wel it aint true so sony and their playstation sucks try pc gaming for gods sake

IBM PowerPC Cell Processor>Xenon. The PS3's Cell Processor has 7 Processor Cores, while the Xenon has only 3 cores. The PS3 uses high-end XDR (Rambus) GDDR3 RAM. Furthermore, the PS3 has an overall higher FLOPS than the Xbox 360—quite a bit more, actually. The PS3 gets 2 TFLOPS overall, the Xbox 360 gets 1 TFLOP.
So yeah, if you look at the specs, it's easy to see why.

..back to the subject.. Ben, I really hope Killzone 2 lives up to all the hype. I guess I've just learned to be skeptical because of previous titles like Lair and Haze. The makers of Haze said in one of their videos that they hope when people think of the top FPS on the PS3, they think of Haze.
