Call of Duty: World at War was one of the best shooters of the year in 2008, but you needed to complete the single-player campaign if you wanted to enjoy the full multiplayer experience.
For instance, the online Nazi Zombie mode has gotten so popular, that new World at War owners are annoyed that they can't participate until they work their way through the single-player campaign. But Treyarch has responded to the complaints, and this weekend, they are opening up the Nazi Zombie Co-Op playlist to everyone on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. This mode lets you and up to four other players blast away at "endless waves of – you guessed it – Nazi zombies." In addition, the publisher is also tossing out a crowd favorite: double experience for the weekend! It started yesterday at 1:00 p.m. ET and will continue until "an undisclosed time," although we assume it'll stop some time early Monday morning. Therefore, if you really want to rake in the EXP online, set aside a few hours this weekend. And if you think killing Nazi zombies ever gets old, think again…just about every gamer on the planet gets endless satisfaction out of annihilating the walking dead. Maybe 'cuz they're always so easy to kill, and their bodies to crazy stuff when they die…
Anywho, although we don't expect World at War to be as popular online as Modern Warfare , Treyarch's production is well worth your time. They said they had to produce the best WWII shooter ever in order to live up to expectations and they basically did just that. Kudos.

Too bad I work this weekend so I can't be on as much as I want. World at War is a good experience and anyone who doesn't even give it a chance is missing out.
I kinda hope Jews enjoy this a tad more than the rest of us.

Haha I'm sure they do. I wish they'd add more levels for Nazi Zombies though.
ha ha lols. i have barely played the game so i think i will start today. got the entire weekend ahead of me. one question though. is the open zombie mode forever, or just with the weekend.

Nazi Zombies is the best thing to ever come out of COD. I'm talking all 5 of them here. Shame IW is probably not going to have it in CODMW2. I know they won't swallow their pride and put it in.

I played it a couple times, Loads of fun with friends but gets a bit repetitive around the 7th level of it.
is cod4 better than cod5. cod4 was my first fps. im not a fan of first persons but i gt cod4 coz a friend said its awesome and gt it in december 08. its single player was a bit weird coz i legged it to the chopper in one of the first missions and my team were far behind i turn the corner and they say "quick get in!" other than thats its awesome now everyones moved on but occasionally goes back to play it. dnt get it. am i missing sumthing.

Sick, nazi zombies is a brilliant mini game. I just wish WOW at in general wasn't glitch city.
They haven't fixed the glitches but let everyone enjoy Nazi Zombies???
I played it at a friends house, it is a cool minigame. The multiplayer really isn't that bad, I like calling in dogs to kill people.
IW should add zombie TERRORISTS! dont get much mor evil than that….
COD MW 2 should add a nuclear attack perk where you could wipe out the enemies lmaol!

yea like wen u get a 20 kill streak, u get a mini nuke that wipes out all enemies outside.
I refuse to play W@W because of the glitching cheaters it disapionts me Treyarc hasnt patched it yet they need to offer double xp when they fix the glitches. I dont cheat and I will not play against cheaters
I only rented WaW and I'm glad that's what I did. In my humble it really does feel like an old style uniforms and weapons expansion to COD4:MW. I did beat it and played some of the Nazi zombie stuff but wasn't really impressed and the same with the multi itself-it felt like COD4 with pop guns to me and wasn't enough to get me off COD4. In acuall fact I think the attack dog packs are the worst thing n a COD for ages-you should have to have a much bigger streak to trigger something which, it turns out, is the most destructive weapon in any COD!
Then again I still get preblems with the dogs in All Ghillied up in SP COD4 myself and they don't come in packs! On higher diffs they're rock hard but they aint nothing compared to the unlikely immedate death canines of WaW. I play a bit of this online on the Wii though and on there(without COD4) it maks more sense. Don't get me wrng the controls on Wii version aren't as good as I hoped for and overall the games gimped(4Vs$ online!!!)but at least it gives a different challege to COD4 which on PS3 it didn't for me. Good game but if you have 4 I don't thnk you need it unless you're a big COD fan in general-which I'm not I only really rate numbr 4 and hope IW's next MW installment is going to be glitch free and add something in real terms to gameplay.
