It's gonna be freaky and creepy, and like the original, it should be a very intriguing blend of survival/horror and FPS.
If you pick up Qore Episode 8 today, you will gain access to the F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin playable demo, which may convince you that an eventual purchase will be required. This sequel picks up where the first title left off, so don't think you need to have played the PC expansion packs that released for the game. Monolith has already said they're basically ignoring those and focusing on the core story that began with F.E.A.R. two years ago, and that's probably a good idea. Furthermore, PlayStation 3 owners won't have to worry about an inferior port this time around; the game was created simultaneously for the 360 and PS3, so both versions should be almost identical. With the exception of a few minor framerate issues on PS3 versions of multiplatform titles these days, the time of crappy 360-to-PS3 ports is long gone (thankfully). Also, bear in mind that if you want to get caught up, you can probably pick up the original F.E.A.R. for a very cheap price, and it'll only take you about 6-8 hours to complete.
As for Qore, there appears to be more reasons for having an annual subscription with every passing day. Why not just pony up the cash and take advantage of little perks like these?

Because I still have issues with spending money on videos that will make their way to the internet, and I have even bigger issues with paying for demos. That is why I got GT5P through my old RLS membership for free.
I may miss out on "exclusive to Qore" beta's but I can usual get someone to give me a code for those as well.
lucky guy. if i had qore, i wold consider it for beta's, but for demo's, hell no. but i agree with you on pAying for vidslike that and demos. heck, alot of people dont even pay for licencsed music.
My money goes to Killzone2.
no one disagrees with you.
Qore fails.
If you think in Qore like a magazine is a good deal.
And I prefer to watch the videos in my 47" HD display rather than my PC screen
I just recently realized that as a subscriber to PSM (the new OPM) I have a "subscription" to Qore.
On the inside back cover of the mag there is a free download code to redeem month after month.
i need to get the PSM then. anyway, i got Qore8, but where's the FEAR2 demo? i check and check a bunch of times today and it keeps saying nothin'.
Because the Store hasn't updated
Yeah Orvisman, I noticed that too on the back cover of my issues after I bought the qore subscription as well. Oops, lol
can't you cancel qore subscription?
The ptom codes are a month behind. I got qore subscription it may or may not be worth it, but since I support sony $25.00 a year isn't much. Everybody cries about everything that sony does to try and make a profit then cry when lose exclusives, lack of advertising, ect. Sony lost 1.1 billion dollars in 2008, so no wonder there not spending like they could. I don't care the videos, demos, beta are worth my donation.

it's not charity. it's being a consumer. man you've got wierded ideologies.
Highway robbery! I am anti- hold things hostage for money.
Downloaded and played the Demo. It's freakin' Awesome. I would get this if Killzone 2 wasn't sooo close.
