Ben-DutkaYou should be well aware of at least two of the titles Capcom has scheduled for the first half of 2009, but after releasing the official lineup, there are five more to announce.
Today, Capcom has confirmed that there are seven total games on tap for the first six months of this year, and first up is the little downloadable title, Flock , which is slated to arrive for the PC and on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in early February. Then, of course, we get Street Fighter IV on February 20 and Resident Evil 5 on March 13 (it's a Friday!) for the PS3 and 360. For other platforms, there's the February 27 release of Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop for the Wii and Neopets Puzzle Adventure for the Wii, DS and PC, plus Moto GP for the Wii in March. And lastly, they've revealed the long-awaited release of Bionic Commando , the very first true sequel to the old-school classic. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be an actual release date next to the game's name, but at least we know it's scheduled for the first half of the year. It was initially set to launch in late 2008, but due to a variety of unknown reasons, the promising action title got pushed into this year.
So anyway, if that one turns out good, we'll get three top-notch experiences from Capcom before June, and that's nothing but good news. And hey, there's a nice little space between SFIV and RE5; it'll give you a chance to breathe. We consider this a solid strategic maneuver, as these two games need the space so each can make an appropriately large splash and neither is in the other's shadow.
