November Famitsu To Place Emphasis On Final Fantasy XIII

We can debate over possible release dates until we're blue in the face, but the only true indication of a game's progression is found in either official announcements or new media and information. Hence, when a magazine is set to unveil a ton of new details – not just more teasers – it's time to sit forward in rapt attention.

According to Final Fantasy Union, Enterbrain in Japan has announced that the November edition of Famitsu will boast a huge Final Fantasy XIII feature. In fact, it should be the focal point of the entire magazine, and it seems we can expect brand new content plus the unveiling of new features that ought to excite the FF followers out there. Unfortunately, we have no leaked information at this time, although you can bet we'll be anxiously awaiting the arrival of that Famitsu issue. As soon as it drops, you can be sure that scans and blurbs from the feature in question will hit the Internet, and we'll try to rake it all in for ya. Dare we hope that a release date will be prominently displayed? Or are we all still to assume that FFXIII still has a big, fat, ugly "TBA 2009" label? We'd like to think that, given this new feature revealing in Famitsu, Square-Enix has progressed significantly over the past few months in terms of development.

But all we can do for now is speculate. What do you think Famitsu will announce? We're expecting new gameplay details, certainly, but is there anything you want more than a release date? At least a Japanese one…?
