Age Of Booty Plunders PSN This Week

It's time to turn you onto what may be another hidden gem on the PlayStation Network. We say "hidden" because it's not getting a whole lot of attention right now, especially with huge blockbusters assaulting store shelves seemingly every week for the past month. But that doesn't mean you should ignore something like Age of Booty .

With a retail price tag of $9.99, it costs only 1/6 of what the standard new game costs, and now, Capcom has revealed that it's coming to the PSN in North America on November 13. They can't say for sure if it'll release in Europe and Asia on the same day, but they say things are "looking good" for that to happen. For those of you who aren't familiar, Age of Booty is pretty simple: take control of a pirate ship in a multiplayer match and take over the entire map. There's team play involved, and in order to win a map, you must take control of the most number of towns before time expires. Obviously, your handy-dandy cannons will come into play when sacking said towns, and when you control them, they can provide you with valuable resources. In turn, this will allow you to upgrade your ships, making it that much more difficult for opposing teams to defeat your forces. Early reviews say there's an excellent blend of strategy and fast-paced urgent entertainment, so if you're a pirate fan, you might want to check this out.

There have been several great titles on the PSN for a very low price over the past year or so, and this should be another one. So if at any point this winter you have no desire to brave the elements, just log on to the Store and give Age of Booty a chance.
