Okay, even though the evidence wouldn't sway any jury in the land, we have to admit: our anticipation level has risen another notch, and our hope that Gran Turismo 5 will release a good deal sooner than expected remains very much alive.
Last week, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi laughed at the idea of GT5 slipping into 2010 and then said the game would arrive "earlier" than we all might think. And now, as AutoGaming.net points out, the UK's Car Magazine may have let a little something else slip- there's an article in the most recent edition that talks about the Citroen GT concept car, which ought to be interesting in and of itself. But in that piece, it says the car will be on display in GT5 this coming spring. …really? That sounds almost too good to be true, and unfortunately, it's well known that these magazines aren't always 100% correct when it comes to certain facts. However, Yamauchi is typically very close to the automotive industry and because Polyphony needs a host of licenses and permissions when it comes to this stuff, Citroen may be aware of certain dates. For now, all we know is that Polyphony plans to continue to update Gran Turismo 5: Prologue with fresh content while we wait, but they can't keep that up for very long. We're gonna want the final product at some point, damnit!
And if Gran Turismo 5 actually does drop some time this spring, we'll be super crazy excited. We loved Prologue and we know GT5 will rock the house, so…could this be true?
