Not that we want to discourage subscribing to Qore as there’s plenty of cool stuff in each episode, but a clarification needs to be made.
We just received an update e-mail from PlayStation Underground that clears up a subject that got a whole lot of PlayStation 3 owners excited. According to early information, those who had either purchased the annual subscription or who picked up Episode 6 would be in line to receive an invite to the PlayStation Home closed beta. However, as it turns out, this offer applies only to the annual Qore subscribers, and you need to have purchased it before October 29:
“As an update to the PLAYSTATION(R)3 News email sent on Friday, October 24th, the special invitation to PlayStation(R)Home's closed beta is available only to Qore annual subscribers who purchased subscriptions by 10/29. Qore Episode 06 purchasers will not be eligible for the special PlayStation(R)Home beta invitation at this time. We apologize for the miscommunication.”
Unfortunately, this leaves you out of luck already if you aren’t currently an annual Qore subscriber, but perhaps there will be other ways of getting into the closed beta. Besides, the open beta can’t be very far off; Sony insists that things are going well and they fully intend to hit their intended release date. It’s not exact, but it should certainly become available before the end of the year. So anyway, there’s no ulterior motive to pick up that sixth episode now, unless you’re interested in any of the scheduled content. Just wanted to let y’all know.
