Street Date For Resistance 2 Broken?

You may not be aware, but there are plenty of rules regarding a game's release on the market. Heck, even reviewers aren't allowed to post reviews of a particular game until a certain date (it's called an embargo, and publishers will tell us what the date is when they send over product for analysis). But some places don't care about rules, and in the case of Resistance 2 , it seems a few retailers have ignored the street date of November 4.

Here are some images from NeoGAF that are worthy of your attention: as you can see, it's visual evidence that you might be able to find stores who are accidentally selling R2 well ahead of time. We have to assume it's "accidental," at any rate, considering the penalties that a retailer can incur can be quite substantial. GameStop isn't likely to screw this up, but you never know about other big chain stores, so perhaps it's best to keep your eyes peeled… However, bear in mind that some places are planning midnight launches for the hotly anticipated title, so if you can't find some of these cheating retailers, you can at least prepare for that event. Now, bear in mind we're not condoning retailers who break street dates – it's illegal and all – but the gamer in us has to admit: the sooner we can get our hands on an awesome game, the better. And besides, now that we've had time go hands-on with the beta, we're more excited than ever .

By the way, IGN has already posted their review for Resistance 2 : 9.5. We're not gonna post a link to it because we don't feel like it, but it's the first bit of evidence that proves what we beta testers already know: R2 kicks… ass .
