Now that Soul Calibur IV is available, fighting fans everywhere are finally able to revel in a fantastic next-gen title. But it's only just the beginning, as Street Fighter IV is another hotly anticipated fighter, and apparently, it has already arrived in the U.S. arcades!
According to a GameSpot report, Capcom's blockbuster fighter has dropped in to an arcade location called Super Arcade in Walnut, a Los Angeles suburb. GameSpot couldn't confirm this to be true, but many fans in the area have indeed said that Street Fighter IV is there. This means we should probably expect the game to travel throughout the rest of the country some time soon, provided Capcom wishes to release SFIV to the U.S. arcades nationwide. The arcade is definitely more popular in Japan than it is here, but for fighting games, it's still a major venue. The only problem is that the SFIV machine in LA apparently has some issues; a lack of HD displays and unresponsive joysticks, among the complaints.
We still don't have a finalized release date for Street Fighter IV , but it should launch some time early next year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. We didn't really talk about a possible arcade release, though, and logically speaking, that should probably come first. Keep an eye out, fighting fans!
