Ben-DutkaOver the past few months, we've been seeing e-mails requesting information on the PlayStation Network cards, which will allow you to purchase content on the Store without a credit card. All you need to do is plunk down the cash, take the card home, and dump the money into your account.
However, the availability of these PSN cards has been hazy, causing consumers a lot of confusion. It seems the cards are indeed on sale, but at retailers you've probably never heard of (what the heck is Meijer and Parnida?) but it seems evidence of an official U.S. PSN card launch should be coming with the September issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine. Take a look at this leaked pic of a blurb in the publication, announcing the arrival of the cards at major retailers nationwide. There's still no release date, but we do know the PSN cards will come in denominations of $20 and $50, and by the end of the summer, you should be able to pick 'em up at GameStop and other common retailers. This means just about everyone with a little money in their wallet will be able to grab content from the Store, and that's good news for all.
