2K Won’t Talk Bioshock 2 Until Bioshock PS3 Ships

As of now, everyone knows we're getting a sequel to Bioshock . It was one of the best games of 2007, it'll once again be one of the best games of 2008 thanks to the upcoming PlayStation 3 version, and it has hordes of fans. So it makes perfect sense, yes? Of course it does, which is why 2K has already confirmed there will be a Bioshock 2 and a Bioshock 3 .

However, it seems they're not willing to issue any info on that sequel into Bioshock PS3 drops later this year. According to VideoGamer.com, who spoke to 2K's International PR Director, Markus Wilding, they're not yet in "full effect" on Bioshock 2 . They asked him if there was an update on their progress with the sequel, and Wilding said:

"There's not. There will be, obviously, but it will take a while. We're not talking about it just yet because right now it's BioShock PS3 – that's what everybody is concentrating on. Once we're in full effect on BioShock 2 we'll talk about it."

We're not entirely sure when "full effect" will take place, but we do know we won't be hearing anything about Bioshock 2 until the PS3 version of last year's Game of the Year contender ships. That's October, in case you had already forgotten, and it'll have all kinds of cool extras and new features; just check out our preview .
