E3 2008: The Biggest PS3 Games

Today's Sony press conference gave us the chance to see plenty of titles for the PS3, PSP and PS2, and we've got a brief rundown of the best PlayStation 3 presentations right here for you.

First up, we certainly enjoyed the God of War III teaser, which was once again confirmed for the PlayStation 3. Kratos is only interested in "chaos," apparently, and he's looking better and badder than ever! They also previewed Sucker Punch's upcoming PS3 exclusive, InFamous , which could be one of the most under-appreciated titles thus far (at least in terms of hype); this game looks both fast and innovative. Mag is something we already told you about , and while we're not the biggest fans of MMOs, we have to admit…that one blew us away. We saw a little more of Killzone 2 – which mysteriously sat in a reel of upcoming games for 2008 – and of course, we were happy to learn of Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty , which has turned out to be a new Network game and a follow-up to last year's Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction .

But Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet – perhaps along with the new online games; Mag and DC Universe – absolutely stole the show. In giving us the not-so-invigorating business details, Sony decided to use the help of LBP's cute little character when tossing up the charts and graphs. Sony's Jack Tretton obviously loves LBP due to its innovation and widespread appeal, and for us, Resistance 2 was most impressive. We hope to show you the E3 trailer very soon, because it will set your salivating for the game's release later this year.

Yes, Final Fantasy XIII is going to the Xbox 360, but Sony still has plenty of excellent exclusives, as evidenced by these game presentations: Resistance 2 , LittleBigPlanet , Killzone 2 , Gran Turismo: Prologue and Gran Turismo 5 , Mag , the Ratchet and Clank series, InFamous , God of War III …honestly, does Microsoft's exclusive list really compare to that? It's not bad, and like I said earlier in my E3 editorial , you needn't cry yourself to sleep over FFXIII. Really. We saw some great exclusive PS3 games today.
