But if you're just a huge fan of the game and love everything about the music genre, you might be interested in this: it's Ion's professional Drum Rocker set for Rock Band . The nifty unit was already unveiled in Game Informer and Joystiq just noted that Ion's official site (linked above) now offers this amazing deluxe drum controller for pre-order. It's only available for the Xbox 360 version right now, but the Drum Rocker will be available for the PS3 and Wii versions of Rock Band "later in the year." The price: $299.99. The Rock Band package costs $180 in the first place, but hey, if you're a drumming fanatic, Ion really does have you covered.
As they say at the site, the Drum Rocker features "four high-durability, quiet velocity-sensitive pads" that can be "mounted and rearranged in any position." You'll also get a metal-reinforced kick pedal, two mounted cymbals (you can even add a third), and if you want to take the next step, you can equip the drums with "professional drum brains" from Alesis . Honestly, if you're looking to train in drum playing, perhaps this is the kit for you. Still, it's a little pricey for the average, casual gamer who just wants to beat on some plastic drums while playing a music game.
