More Bioshock PS3 Details Revealed

When we heard that EGM would have a full-length preview for the PlayStation 3 version of Bioshock , that only helped confirm further what we had heard from PSM3 earlier in the day. But now, let's take a look at some of the highlights from that preview.

First of all, despite the rumors, it seems this version will look identical to the Xbox 360 version. There is the possibility that 2K slightly enhances the visuals, but no drastic steps are being taken to revamp the graphics for this new version. Second, 360 owners got a chance to experience different Plasmids and other downloadable content, and all of that will be hitting for the PS3 version. Thirdly, we come across something awfully intriguing that will get everyone talking: the development team hints that they're "working with Sony to potentially extend and augment the game," although they wouldn't go into specifics. Essentially, they're saying that if you've already played the 360 version, there may be a good reason to play this new one:

"Whatever we end up with via our discussions with Sony, coupled with the fact that BioShock allows you to go through and roll your own shooter in the first place…these two factors together would turn into a motive for replay."

There's no doubt that Bioshock will be amazing – it already was last year – but any new details we can uncover is a bonus at this point. PS3 owners are still basking in the glow of the announcement, so any and all information is most appreciated.
