Vampire Rain Sinks Fangs Into PS3

According to WorthPlaying.com, Vampire Rain : Altered Species is on its way to the PlayStation 3 and players will work with a black ops unit to eliminate a particularly nasty race of vampires called Nightwalkers. The game will boast new character animations and interactions, plus bonus levels and the addition of multiplayer gameplay.

"We are very excited to bring Vampire Rain: Altered Species to the PS3," said Artoon President Naoto Oshima. "The incredible power of the PS3, will allow us to give gamers a fully immersive experience. This will include: 5.1 channel audio, over 50 hours of gameplay, extra bonus levels, a lot of completely revamped animations, character interactions and much more."

In the game, mankind has been battling vampires for quite some time, but the Nightwalkers are like super blood-drinkers and are threatening to completely eradicate humans. Those who are attacked by the Nightwalkers will either die or become a Nightwalker themselves, and due to this epidemic, the government has formed an elite unit to deal with the biggest danger we've ever faced. Players will step into the shoes of John Lloyd, who holds the distinction of being the lone human to ever survive an encounter with the Nightwalkers. Perhaps this is the reason the government recruited him in the first place…

We're waiting for more details on the multiplayer mode, but as it stands now, Vampire Rain: Altered Species could be a very entertaining experience and a fine addition to the PS3's library. Stay tuned for more info and media from Artoon.
