We haven't heard much on the LittleBigPlanet front lately, but Media Molecule has recently assured everyone that things are progressing, and they're about to enter a crucial part of the creation process.
According to the company blog, one of the company's representatives said they were "slaving away pushing LittleBigPlanet toward the Alpha stage of its development cycle." This means just about every part of the game will be playable (even if it's not "pretty enough" to release to the public), and Media Molecule is apparently happy with the game's advancement. Now, even if the gameplay isn't refined, we'd love to think the Alpha mode would let the team release more media, like videos and screenshots. That'll be up to them, of course, but we kinda miss hearing about this promising cooperative platformer; it was a hot topic of conversation when PlayStation Home was announced.
And speaking of which, we continue to wonder if LittleBigPlanet and Home remain tied together, in that if you have one, you'll have to have the other. This may not be the case, but wouldn't it be logical to assume that if the game is moving along towards the end of development, wouldn't Home be on the horizon as well? Perhaps. But we'll be sure to keep you updated on both.
