Ben-DutkaGuitar Hero is an immensely popular franchise. So popular, in fact, that not long after the third installment dropped, more series entries are on the way. One of them is Guitar Hero: Aerosmith , which has caused legions of fans to ask one question: will the game only feature Aerosmith songs?
Well, from today's evidence, it seems the answer to that question is "no." According to a tipster at Joystiq, a Best Buy ad for the upcoming title says Aerosmith "and all their favorite bands" will be included in the final game. Furthermore, they cite a USA Today article that says we can also expect "opening acts," and the official Aerosmith fan site hints at Run DMC being one of those bands. This makes perfect sense to us; you will probably recall the now-classic crossover hit, "Walk This Way," performed by both Aerosmith and Run DMC… But who else will make their way into this special Guitar Hero ? At the very least, it seems quite obvious that other bands will be accompanying the rock legends, which is definitely a good thing. Aerosmith is great, no doubt, but we certainly appreciate some variety with our songs, yes?
