Ceramic White PS3 Already At Retailers?

Rumors of a new PlayStation 3 model have died down, primarily because Sony has stayed quiet on the issue. GameStop still swears a 120GB PS3 is on the way, but evidently, Sony isn't willing to offer any confirmation at this time. But yet another PS3 model rumor has arrived, and this one is just as plausible: the Ceramic White PS3 is headed our way…soon.

According to Kotaku, the 40GB PS3 "Spider-Man 3" bundle is winding down, as some retailers are reporting they won't be receiving this package anymore. But at the same time, the retailers were told to expect another 40GB unit without a movie, and Circuit City employees have apparently begun receiving shipments of "new" PS3s. These machines come with the model number CECHH01, which is the model number for the Ceramic White PS3. These won't go on sale until all the "Spider-Man 3" PS3 bundles are gone, and then the "new" PS3 will hit store shelves with the standard purchase price of $399. Of course, we can probably expect to see the return of the black 40GB PS3 without the movie as well.

We're hoping to get a reply from Sony on all this new PS3 model talk, but we're guessing they'll just adopt the same ol' policy: "we don't announce anything until there's something to announce." So in the meantime, let's just revel in retail rumor and hope for the best.
