We learned late last week that the next update for Warhawk (v1.3) will include PlayStation Home integration , and as you can see, the game's creator is pretty excited about the online service's potential. Basically, this news hints at the possibility of Home launching earlier than expected, but the latest rumor says it's coming out much, much sooner than expected.
According to QJ.net, one of those mysterious "insiders" has popped up with more information that says Home is right around the corner. The excerpt in question comes from a PlayStation forum member, who apparently knows this insider as a contact, and here's what Deep Throat had to say-
"A game must be able to integrate into Home, a game must support "Accomplishments". Right there, two important things, the PS3 system for achievements is called "Accomplishments", and Home is coming out VERY VERY VERY Soon."
Previously, we had heard Sony would be implementing an Achievement system similar to that found on Microsoft's Xbox 360, so this rumor supports that theory as well. But what is most intriguing is that "very very very soon" bit, which could imply any number of things. Could it arrive as early as next month? Well, we'll see what we can find out, and we'll also keep an eye on GDC to see if Sony makes any announcements concerning Home.
