Free Radical: Improvements For Haze, Game Releasing “Very Soon”

Originally, Haze was one of the most anticipated titles of 2007. However, after several delays and some vile rumors that said the game might not even make it out this year, PS3 owners have been grumbling a bit. Whispers of Free Radical's FPS shaping up to be another Duke Nukem Forever have started to circulate, but a member of the development team wanted to clear that up quickly.

According to a recent post by a Free Radical member in the official Ubisoft forums, Haze is most definitely not DNF, they have plenty of cool things planned for their project, and yes, you will be playing it "soon." Here's the post-

"Sorry guys but Haze is NOT Duke Nukem Forever.

Normally we have to be a bit careful about what we say on forums in case it incurs the wrath of Neko or Dr. Doak for giving too much info away, but this time I'm very safe in saying that Haze is coming.

While we can't explicitly say what improvements we've made (I'd love to tell you all the cool stuff we've been putting in!…but I also love my job too lol) I can guarantee you that the extra bit of time has made a big difference for the better.

We understand the frustration caused by shifting things around a bit, but we just want to make sure things are right for the people who'll be playing Haze *very* soon."

Well, that's good news. He goes on to say they'll be "more forthcoming" with those improvements later on, but for now, we should probably be happy that FRD has taken the time to polish up a promising PS3 title. No need to rush things, right? Besides, Ubisoft now puts the release date for Haze between March and May, so that's a lot better than the previous "fall 2008" estimate.
