Christmas is fast approaching, and so naturally game sales
spike up tremendously. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue was the only
notable new debut on the chart, but it just missed placing on the
second spot – technically. Prologue sold a fantastic 116k copies
in stores, with another estimated 30k-40k sold on the PlayStation
Network, which puts it well ahead of Wii Fit, which sold 124k
games. Mario Party DS came back to take over the number one spot
by moving 180k games. Super Mario Galaxy, unfortunately, isn't
performing as well it should be – selling 74k games. It's
saddening to see "games" like Mario Party and Wii Fit
move truck loads, while the most proper Mario game since Super
Mario 64 is struggling.
